October

The first weekend of October we spent outside doing yardwork, listening to General Conference, and Lincoln loved climbing the tree and making rope contraptions. He figured out how to hang this and make a swing for himself.  Lincoln also developed some weird sleeping habits. For 3 nights in a row we would go check on him after he had fallen asleep and we found that he had tied himself up with his stuffed animal snake and lying in all sorts of weird places.  Funny boy.  Norah continues to LOVE preschool and her teacher loves showing my the work she is doing learning her numbers and letters.  The kids were pretty excited that we got to put up all the Halloween decorations and pull out our Halloween books. The Pop-up Haunted House is always a favorite and the kids love looking at it.  Our Pomegranate bush/tree had so so many pomegranates on it this year. We did our share of juicing and making jelly.  We also invited Erin on over and so her and her kids had a good time juicing as well.  Nana and Pops began construction on their new deck for their house. The kids loved going up and watching the workers. Cade wasn't so good at just watching and wanted to go and help as well--- especially with the brick laying.  We had a lot of prep to do to get ready for our cruise to Europe. We decided it would be better for everyone to have the kids stay up at Nana and Pops house while we were gone.  That way they would have more space and especially have lots of room to play outside safely.  So we had to pack their clothes, do lots of shopping etc before we headed out.  Our trip to the grocery store was quite the site.  3 little kids and a cart over flowing with food.

We headed out on our trip on the 9th. Grandma Penny came down here to watch them for about 5 days... Heidi then watched them for a day until  Aunt Laura and Uncle Jeremy and Boston came down and watched them for about a week and then Grandma came back and finished up the time until we get home. The kids loved it and I am pretty sure they got spoiled rotten.  While Laura and Jeremy were here Lincoln lost his 1st tooth while playing in the play place at McDonalds. Although we were sad to miss it, we were so glad that he was well taken care of and that the tooth fairy made its way to Lincoln.... even if he was nervous for her to come in his room. haha. :)
The kids also were a little bit of stinkers and we received a message saying that Lincoln had given Norah a haircut.  Oh NO!  I was so sad... because Norah had never had a haircut and it was finally getting long enough to put in a ponytail and pig tails.. Oh well. Hair grows and she is still as cute as ever. It could have been much worse.  We were so grateful for all that everyone did to take care of our kids while we were gone.  Such a blessing to have so many people that love us and our kids.

During the Girls Witch Party, Dad takes the boys out to have some fun on their own. They went to the new Thunder Junction Park, dinner to Culvers, and then Ice Cream. Sounds like a fun time to me. Splash Pad at the end of October.... Only in Southern Utah. :)   Now onto Halloween.
