This was after his bath and he wanted nothing to do with getting dressed.... At least he obliged by putting his hat on.
I was surprised he left the sunglasses on long enough to get a picture! What a stud.1.30.2012
Red Sox Boy.
Major League Baseball opening day is only 65 days away so I thought I better get Lincoln started on wearing his Red Sox hat. So far he has no complaints!! Go Sox.
10 Months
-Is a pro at pulling himself up onto anything. Has started walking along everything.
-He has started investigating the stairs some. He can get up about three stairs and then he runs out of railing to hold on. (sorry the pics are burry- cell phone pics).
-He is a super fast crawler. If he sees an open door he is there in a second. I have to constantly keep my eye on him.
-Changing his diaper has become quite the task. I like it when Adam is home to help out because then one of us can hold him down. There are many times when he escapes diaperless or pantsless.
-No teeth. We are going for a record- maybe we'll make it a year before he gets any. It doesn't stop him when it comes to eating though. He uses his gums quite well.
-He wants to eat every time he sees anyone else eat... So we have been feeding him a lot of new foods. He has tried most table foods that we eat in little chunks. ex: pears, avocado, peaches, pretzels, shredded cheese, shredded chicken, bread, noodles, ham slices, grapes, apples, green beans, corn, crackers).
-His coordination has improved so much this month. He can get food from his tray into his mouth no problem. Before we would find all kinds of food that had fallen down into where he is seating, now we rarely find much there.
-Gets into everything and anything. We can't keep anything within arms length of this kid or it ends up on the floor.
-He gives Dad kisses. They are open mouth and very slobbery but they are def. kisses! Daddy loves them.
-We still LOVE how happy he is. I can't get enough of his smile. Every day I see his little personality come out more!

Wittwer Family Pictures.
The last time we had an entire Wittwer family picture was at my wedding. So because ALL of us were going to be in St. George for Christmas, what better time for a family picture.
Although you can tell that it is the middle of the winter and we are very pale and it was a chilly, windy day, I think we got some decent pictures. More than anything it was fun to all be together during the Holidays..... and so glad little Andrew made it into the picture (even if he and Izzy had to be photo-shopped in).
Thanks Jessica for taking our pictures and it is always fun to see you!

It's life.
This week started out a bit rough. Last Sat. Lincoln woke up from his afternoon nap and just wasn't his normal self.... He was winey and just wanted to cuddle (this NEVER happens). We took his temperature and sure enough he had quite the fever. Sat. night not much sleep was had by any of us. Sunday he seemed a little better so we took him to sacrament meeting but then headed home for Lincoln to get some rest. That evening his fever just got worse. I thought maybe it was an ear infection but he wasn't pulling on his ear or had no other indications of this. This was our first experience with Lincoln having any sort of sickness- so we were pretty clueless as what to do. He just happened to have his 9 month doctors appointment on Monday so we figured we'd just take him in then. Sure enough he had an ear infection. I am just so glad that he is over that and back to his happy self. Although I did LOVE the cuddle time that I got with him I hated seeing my little boy so unhappy. The rest of the week brought in Mr. Winter. We have had such a mild winter which has been fabulous. Even with winter's arrival it hasn't been bad at all. It snowed and left a skiff of snow that has now stuck around for a few days.
Lincoln loved to stand at the window and watch the snow come down-- so cute!
Lincoln thinks he is unstoppable when it comes to crawling and pulling himself up on things and walking along stuff. I often find him wedged in some pretty cute places.
Lincoln got to hang out with one of his buddies Jared for an evening. He loves hanging with other babies!

Little Man Mustache Bash.
We welcomed a new addition to our family on Dec. 21st! Heidi and I wanted to be there for the shower so we waited until we were in Utah and little Andrew was born to throw him a 'Little Man Mustache Bash.' Andrew is the cutest little baby... and Izzy a huge thanks to you for obliging in having a shower with a new baby only a few weeks old. You were a great sport and thanks for bringing your little guy to celebrate with us! We had a great time with many relatives from both the Wittwer and Barton side of the family.

A New Year.
*Happy 2012*
| Lincoln on New Years Day. |
Rylee and Jackson loved shooting the poppers at midnight.
Lincoln at Midnight! Welcome 2012.
9 Months.
Stats at 9 month appointment on Jan. 9th.
Weight: 19.2 lbs. 24 percentile
Height: 28 inches. 35 percentile
Head: 17.9 inches. 51 percentile
Our little man is 9 months old--- This past month was sure a month of growth. It seemed like everyday he had learned something new. It was so fun to see all the changes. Man I love this kid.
-Officially started crawling. No more rolling or scooting--Full out crawling. While we were in Utah he really got good. I have had to do some major baby proofing because he gets into everything.
-He pulls himself up to standing against either the couch, ottoman, or coffee table. He is very determined and will fall often but always pulls himself right back up.
-On our flights to and from Utah he was a crowd favorite... especially with those sitting behind us and the flight attendants. He just gave him his smile and they were hooked.
-Has quite the scream... not an i'm hurt scream, just a 'I can make this cool noise' scream.
-Loves to babble. Dada is the most common word but does say mama and baba quite often.
-Still no teeth.... but his hair is now barely visible in pictures. Who needs teeth and hair anyway? They just make for extra work.
-Instead if everything immediately going straight into his mouth he now places with the item more.... although plenty still goes in his mouth.
-Will sleep through the night 8:30 pm-7:30 am but the norm is to still wake up usually once. I'm okay with it because he is such a great napper. He takes 2 naps a day--usually going right down. Each nap is around 2 hours. It is when I can get so much done.
-He is constantly moving while he sleeps. He is always in a different place in his crib. He also loves to squeeze his head face down in the corners--- with his bum in the air.
-He still is a great eater. Def. prefers food over milk. Stopped breastfeeding/pumping.. Now is only on formula.
-Has started to get some stranger anxiety. Before he would go to strangers with no problem but now he is starting to realize when he is not with Mom and Dad. Love that he knows who we are but not as excited that he won't go to babysitters as easily as before.

And then there were kids.
Whenever I go to Northern Utah I try to see my amazing girlfriends that I was best friends with at Utah State. We always have such a good time catching up and visiting. This year it was different because many of us all had kids over the past year. It was so fun getting to see and know their kids. There were 3 little girls within a few months of him so he has quite the choice of cute ladies to choose from!
Thanks Melissa, Jenni, Sabrina, Whitney, Laurie, and Buffy for the visit. I loved seeing you all.
It was next to impossible to get pics of the kids.. It was pretty comical actually. These aren't the best pictures because all the kids look like they are hating their parents who are making them sit still and look at the camera. haha.
Lincoln and Melaina
Lincoln and Swayzie
Hazel and Lincoln
We tried to get all the kids to sit for one picture. Laurie and Sabrina's kids are the only one that behaved!
Me and my baby boy!
After Christmas Fun!
We headed up to South Jordan the day after Christmas to spend the rest of the week there. We had a blast... and Lincoln was constantly loved, played with, and kissed by his cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lincoln also loved finally meeting his Uncle Mike. The Christmas party was great as usual.... and we ate way too much good food the entire time we were there!
Lincoln playing the yarn game.
Adam doing our part of the program.
Playing with cousin Brevan.
Lincoln crawling all over the place! This kid doesn't stay still and really got good while we were in Utah.
We also visited Great Grandpa Butterfield! Always love visiting with him.
We loved hanging out with all the Butterfields! So great to see everyone.
