Blessing Day- Norah Anne Butterfield

What a special day it was...  Norah was given a wonderful blessing!
Blessing given by: Adam Eugene Butterfield- Father
In the circle: Adam, Sheldon Wittwer, Steve Lackey, Brian Butterfield, Jeremy Winn, Tyler Wittwer, James Wittwer, Tim Thorley, Bishop Scott Parry, Grandpa Barton, Bart Smith

·      You are loved by your Parents, Brother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and those who have passed on.
·         You have been blessed with the gift of discernment.
·         When making decisions and important life choices seek the guidance of our Heavenly Father through prayer.  Get on your knees and seek council.
·         You will be given many opportunities but will also face many obstacles but will be blessed with the ability to seek guidance and support from parents and others.
·         You have a sweet spirit.
·         Follow the example Savior to find those in need of your help.
·         When the time comes seek for a choice companion-worthy priesthood holder- to take you to the temple.
·         You will be a wonderful mother and raise a family some day.
We wanted to get a nice picture at the church but during sacrament Lincoln really started to feel nasty--- runny nose, fever, just not his happy little self. So Adam took him home after Sacrament.  After church we had our families come over to our house for a dinner and get together. Lincoln was still not good at all!  He was miserable. He did come outside for a bit but spent most of his time cuddling with Dad. He might not have any clothes on but we still wanted a picture of our little family.
We love our family and appreciate all that they do for us!
Here is our little sicky---  I felt so bad for him!

May... Lots of Fun with Family!

May has been such a fun month. With a newborn you often find yourself staying inside and trying to get a new routine down. For me this is a time that is always hard because I like to be out and about- and although I still spent most of my time cuddling with Norah, and trying to manage a 2 year old with a new baby, I also tried to get out a bit. The Thorleys were in town from Virginia for a few weeks so that gave me an excuse to get out a bit more.  When they are in town visiting it always means more get togethers and hanging out with cousins!  Lincoln LOVES his cousins and gets so excited when I tell him we are going to see them.
Lincoln loves to help me cook (and lick the beaters and bowls)-- I will ask him if he wants to help my cook and he responds, "Mommy's Sous Chef."  He is the best Sous Chef I could ask for!
We went to lunch with Whitney and met up with Pops and Tyler at the Boulevard Diner. Lincoln loved Pops pushing him all around the store.
Whitney went grocery shopping with us--- and can I say it was a million times easier with her entertaining Lincoln.
Watching the Half Ironman!
Lincoln playing with his favorite toy at Grandpa and Grandma Greats house.. The marble fun.  Grandpa was trying to show him how to do it.
Norah's first adventure in the carrying backpack. She didn't seem to mind too much.

He must have been playing hard!
Our first pick of fresh peas from the garden. Lincoln enjoyed picking and eating them! Yay for a healthy snack that he likes.
We have loved our double stroller and use it quite a bit... Norah doesnt seem to mind it either.

We had a fun day at the main street river...

..and the day is not complete without a ride on the carousel.

We also spent a day in Pine Valley. The treehouse and swings are always a favorite.

Saying that Lincoln likes to give Norah hugs is an understatement... HE LOVES his sister and smoothers her constantly with hugs and kisses. We have to keep our eye on him so he doesn't smash her too much.
Lincoln was not happy to have to take a nap this day. After about 2 hours of playing in his crib I went in to get him. He had kept himself quite busy trying to grab and squeeze anything that was in his reach and fit through the panels of his crib... and he managed to take his shirt off as well. He wasn't happy when I came in to get him.
We had Brian and Julie and their family come stay with us for Memorial day weekend and for Norah's blessing.  We had fun on the fire engine and ate Pizza Factory.
Lincoln loved all the attention and fun he had with Christian and Sammie.
They went Fishing--- well attempted to go fishing.

whenever we are with Brian's family it seems like a bathtub picture always gets taken..  Evan and Lincoln!
Lincoln and Adam also went to their first Father and Sons outing. It was held in Pinto.  Other than a scraped nose on Lincoln it looked and sounded like they had a great time.

For our Anniversary- 4 years- we went to Benja Thai. I love that place... and it's always fun to go there because it is where we went the night we got engaged. Love my man!

I have Kids... KIDS!

It is still a little weird to say that I have KIDS-- like plural-- more than 1.  :) Anyway we needed a family picture so that Whitney would have one of us on her mission... so this was our quick after Sunday dinner attempt.. It is impossible to get Lincoln looking and smiling at the camera at the same time!  Oh well. I love my little family!
Aunt Whitney with Norah and Lincoln
-- and here are some random pics of Lincoln that I took out on the hay..
He DID NOT like being up high on top of the stack...
So I brought him back down and he was happy as can be--- I love my little mischievous boy.

Lincoln's April Adventures.

It is an understatement when I say that Lincoln loves being outside.  He would love to be outside all day if I let him.  So here are a few of his adventures.

Helping Pops and Dad plant corn in the garden. Lincoln was great at tossing the kernels down in the furrows.
Lincoln got his own little shovel, rake, and hoe for his birthday so he had to help cover the corn.

Another day we were out helping Nana and Pops water the garden and of course Lincoln ended up in the mud and water. So to clean him up we pulled out his little pool and let him play--- It was COLD but he still loved it.
Until Pops came over and poured the cold water over him. haha.

He loves to help Dad feed the horses.  Here he is holding the hose to fill up their water.  He has his bike helmet on for Safety. :)
We never can get past the tractor with out him sitting up on it for a bit.
Checking out one of Dad's Jobs and all the cool 'tractors' that were there.

With Pops in the hot tub.
Lincoln loves Pops and his Cousins-- Channing and Andrew. Pops is always so great about playing with them.

Lincoln was up at Nana and Pop's house being babysat and we got this picture text to us! The static electricity was at it's finest! Let's just say he needs a haircut.  We love our little dandelion haired boy!
