Our Little Farmer.

Lincoln Loves to be outside. He also loves when Nana and Pops come down to the garden or to get the tractor. He always wants to be part of whatever is going on.
He was a very happy boy just sitting on the tractor watching Pops fix the tire.
He is also our little Grape man... everytime we go outside he has to run to the grapes and pick a bunch to eat. He eats these all day long!
He also loves corn... well at least the cob.. he just chews on the ends.
He would swing all day in the tire swings!
I Love that smile!

Brianhead with the Butterfields.

We had a fabulous weekend with the Butterfields (we missed Mike and his family) up in Brianhead!  Most of us met up Thursday night and the fun began.  The weather was perfect. Such a nice break from the St. George heat.  Friday morning we took the lift up and did a hike around the mountain. Everyone was such troopers and even the little kids did great. It was beautiful.

Friday evening we 'attempted' to do a little fishing at Panquitch Lake. No fish were caught but we had fun just hanging out. The kids liked to play in the water and mud.
Sat. we headed over to Bryce Canyon and did some hiking--
Gabi loves to take care of Lincoln!
This wasn't too bad going down... but lugging Lincoln up it without our backpack wasn't too fun! Glad Aunt Melanie was there to help me.

We FORCED Lincoln to hold Mario... Neither was very happy about it!
We had such a fun time with everyone... and of course ate lots of great food.
Weekend well spent!

I Love to see the Temple.

For FHE we wanted to go and check out the pioneer art exhibit at the temple visitor's center. While we were there we enjoyed the temple grounds and Lincoln had fun exploring!

Now that the middle of August is here I finally feel like I can take a minute to document the rest of our July and early August.  As summertime is we were very busy enjoying family, the outdoors, and the freedom summer has to offer.  It was great to get out of the heat of St. George and enjoy some of the beautiful locations that aren't too far from here.
- Barton Family Reunion at the Dirt Farm.
We always love going up and camping.  As it usually is we spent most of our time lounging around, visiting, catching up with cousins, the kids doing races, having our balloon toss and horse shoe tournament... and eating good food. Lincoln loved exploring and getting dirty!

Our balloon toss competition. I ended up getting drenched...
 Horseshoes--- Pretty good form Adam.
Ya that look on my face was about how my horseshoe skills are... pretty pathetic.
The Girl Winners.. My Mom and Aunt Carol Ann.
The Guy winners. Justin and James.
Rylee and Lincoln wanted in on the Horse shoe action as well.
Grandpa sitting back and observing it all.
Friday morning a big group of us headed over to 'Red Canyon' and did a hike. Although the pace was about as slow as it could be---and more pictures were taken than steps, we had a great time. I love exploring new hikes that I have never done.  It was perfect for all ages-- even my Grandma did it! She is pretty impressive though.
 All of us that hiked!
 Lincoln with Aunt Whitney.
Mom and Lincoln--- he got tired of being carried around and wanted to do some walking on his own.
I LOVE me some red rocks!
 Our little family!
