May

WE have LOVED having the pool to hop in anytime anyday. The kids have gotten better and better at swimming. One day we had smores over the BBQ---

We love having cousins over to swim as well.
We went to the Dinosaur Park and we all drove on the train.  We of course had to get a picture with the conductor.

We also met up with my friend Melissa Berry and her kids and played in the splashpad area. Sadie and Norah became fast friends and were so cute playing.

Adam took Lincoln and Norah to the park to fly Lincoln's kite he got from the kite festival.  They got pretty good at it. Lincoln thought it was pretty cool that he could even lie down and fly it.

Norah wanted to make Mom breakfast in bed one morning. She knows my favorite. Cream of Wheat!
Uncle Josh graduated from Dixie State University.  We didn't go to the whole ceremony but we met up afterwards and congratulated him and took some pics. Norah went with Aunt Whitney and she sat through the whole ceremony. We are so proud of Josh and wish the best for his future. We know he is going to do amazing things.

Cade finds anyway he can to get wet.  This kid loves water.
He has also turned into a little climber. He managed to climb up on the back wall.  He couldn't do it from the dirt so he figured he could push something over and stand on it and then he climbed up.  I have to keep my eye on him 24/7.
Mike and Karly and their kids came down because Karter had a baseball tournament. We had fun going to some of the games and Cade had fun playing on Uncle Mike's little scooter that he had to have because he hurt his foot.
We purchased a little wrist leash for him for times when we don't want to be constantly chasing him. It works--- :) although he isnt too happy about it at times.

Adam took Lincoln and Cade to Fathers and Sons.  They had a good time but Cade was being super mellow and actually went to bed. It wasn't too long after that Adam went tocheck on him in the tent and Cade had thrown up all over.  Needless to say they got home about 1 or 2 that night instead of sleeping over in the tent.

A pipe broke so our ditches were full of water. Lincoln and Norah were loving running up and down and splashing in them. It isn't very often that we get puddles like these.

Lincoln took a music class this past year and loved it.  This is him with his other classmates at their year end recital. He too it quite seriously but we finally got a smile out of him when he got his ribbon.

We always love to go on a quick hike out to Snow Canyon.  We did the 'Pioneer NAmes' trail. I had forgotten that some of those pioneer names were ancestors.  It was fun to show my kids the names.

Southern California.

San Diego Zoo.
We hadnt planned any sort of summer vacation, so super last minute we planned a little get away to Southern Cali.  Our first stop was the Zoo. The kids loved seeing all the animals, climbing on all the statues, and Lincoln and Mom had fun on the Sky Tram thingy.   Cade was on his 'leash' most of the time because he would not stay in the stroller because he was so excited to move to the next animal. Lincoln's favorite exhibit was the Reptile house (surprise, surprise).....  Cade liked it all, and Norah said she liked the Cheetah whose name was 'Diva' and was just sitting high on a rock looking down on everyone.  It was a great first day in California!

Legoland.
We made it to Legoland the next day.  It was a little cooler, and cloudy so we thought maybe we were going to get rained on but it turned into a beautiful day. I had hear differing opinions on Legoland but the kids loved it all. Lincoln was especially at the perfect age to do it all. Small enough to do the little kid rides, and tall enough to do the coasters. Cade was still a little small to do many of the rides so he was a little bummed about that but overall there was lots to keep them all entertained .
When we first got there, we were having to wait about 20 minutes to go on the rides, so we got some 'blue' cotton candy and let the kids know that baby #4 was going to be a boy.  Lincoln was pretty happy about it, and although I thought Norah was going to be bummed because she really wanted a sister, she was perfectly ok with it and happy.  Cade was pretty indifferent to the whole situation. ;)

All the Lego themed rides were so fun and creative.

The kids loved the cars they could actually drive and although Norah probably went only like 30 feet the entire time she was on it, they thought it was cool.

Cade was pretty bummed once again that he couldn't go on the ship... So he screamed for a minute until he realized he could shoot the boats as the drove by. It kept him a little entertained for a minute or so.

One of the last things we did was the boat tour of the little lego world. So neat to see places from all over the world made of actual legos.  Mind blown for sure.  Such detail in everything.

There were a few Lego characters running around, but our kids wanted nothing to do with it.  haha.

Overall the kids really liked it and I would go back with kids probably 10 or so and younger. A day well spent.

Oceanside Beach.
Our last day we headed up to the beach for some R&R.  I think the kids almost enjoyed this day the very best! Something about playing in the sand and water under the sun makes for perfection. The kids did not want to leave in the late afternoon!  We were driving back that night and stayed too long--- and ended up getting stuck in the worst traffic. It took us forever to get home.... oh how we love Californing(except that nasty traffic).
