We made the trek south.... to St. Louis for a quick weekend trip.
This is what we did.
Crossed into Missouri.
Missouri History Museum.
Adam hearts Thomas Jefferson. Learned all kinds of history about St. Louis.
St. Louis Zoo.
Who says you have to have kids to enjoy the animals? Great Zoo. Hot day. Muggy, humid day. Busy day. Worth it... and I loved that it was free. (Those are giraffes in the background of my picture... a bear in Adams. We had to get a couple of pics to document we actually went to the zoo).
Cardinals vs. LA Dodgers Baseball Game.
We were pretty pumped about this til we got to the game and realized our seats were in the blazing hot sun. I've been to quite a few baseball games and this topped it for being the most HOT and HUMID. Everyone was literally dripping, more like pouring sweat. Not a pretty sight people. After the 3rd inning I had had enough of the sun and was determined to find some extra seats in the shade so we could actually enjoy the game(and so Adam's poor face wouldn't get more fried than it already was). It took a few innings to find some decent shaded seats(that were vacant) but we did.... and at last we were able to enjoy the last 3-4 innings. Notice in the pics how drenched in sweat we are. Yes disgusting.... and I should be embarrassed to share these pics but it is what it is. I want to remember the day like it was.... sweat and all. Overall a great hot day at the ballpark!
It's a beautiful ballpark.
The Arch!
I had been once before up in the arch when I was in elementary school but this was Adam's first time visiting St. Louis so we took the tram to the top.
Adam under the Arch
Marci under the Arch.
Us at the top! Great views of St. Louis.
St. Louis was an awesome city and we had a great time. I wished that we would have had more than a day to see and explore it all!
