My Boy!

Lincoln is such a good baby {I know I am partial haha}... He is quite the wiggle worm and if he is awake he is constantly kicking and moving his arms and legs.  He is sleeping pretty well.  He normally sleeps 6 hours straight at night-- will eat and go right back to sleep.  We have had some lucky nights where he goes 7 or 8 hours.  He is getting so big and strong. He really only cries when he is hungry or has gas... so once the problem is solved he is back to his happy self. Next week he has his 2 month appointment. Wow where does time go?  

Caves. of. Wonder.

Last Sat. morning we were sitting around and realized we did not want to waste our whole day just sitting around and watching TV... so I turned to the internet and searched, "things to do in Iowa."  This is what we found.

So we packed up some food to BBQ and headed a hour and a half north to check them out.  We were pleasantly surprised and had a GREAT Time hiking and checking out the caves. The weather was perfect.... it was so lush and green.... and I almost forgot I was in Iowa because of the scenery. This was about the most real thing to hiking that we have done since living here in Iowa.  I took a ton of pictures so enjoy!

Lincoln was sleeping for the first half of the hike. He was pretty comfy hanging out with Dad. 

Put as soon as he woke up, this is what he was doing... Looking around at everything. He loved it all.

 So we turned him around and you can tell he was much Happier! We love our bald little guy. 

 I would def. recommend checking it out! We had a great time and would def. go back.
Oh and one last picture to document what a good Dad Adam is.... here he is changing Lincoln's dirty diaper after our hike.

future hawkeye wrestler.

Remember when we found out that we were having a Boy and the first thing Adam said was, "can you make him a wrestling singlet?"  Well I made it happen.  

This is our future Hawkeye wrestler.  

We tried it on when he was about a week old and it was huge on him. So we tried it on him at 7 weeks and it fit about right... a bit long in the legs and tight in the tummy but I think he looks tough. 

Adam was loving this moment.  

Look at those shoulder muscles. He def. got those from his Dad. haha

Sunset on the Mississippi.

Lincoln took his first trip to Nauvoo. Our families wanted to go to the temple so we were not about to miss out. It was a beautiful evening when we arrived with the sun setting over the Mississippi River. the next day was perfect for checking out some of the sites!

Blessing Day.

Lincoln was given a name and blessing on Sunday May 15th. Adam gave him a beautiful blessing full of great promises. I love my 2 boys and am so grateful for Adam's worthiness.

  It was neat to have some family there to be there for Lincoln.

Lincoln looked so Handsome in his little white tux.  He was such a good boy during the blessing as well-- not a peep heard.

Lots of Love.

Here are a few more random pictures from the last few weeks.  As you can tell, Lincoln was spoiled having so much family around. He loved being held by everyone.  He is such a Good baby and really doesn't cry.  I think our visitors appreciated that in the middle of the night.

Over the past week or two, Lincoln has started laughing and cooing all the time! It is so adorable and I love it!! 

Adam has also continued to interview at different places.  He has had some success and has turned down some offers-- because he is wanting that perfect job. :) We should hopefully have decided on a job in the next couple of weeks. Here he is at the Caterpillar Headquarters.

We went to a Hawkeye Baseball game. It was a test run to see how Lincoln does at Baseball games because we want to go to a Cubs game at Wrigley at the end of the month. He was a little angel- so it looks like Wrigley may be a go.  

I put this shirt on him and Adam immediately commented that Lincoln looked like Freddy Krueger. Not really the look I was going for.

Here are just a few more random pictures. 

the Supper Club.

Adam's Grandparents live not too far from us in a little town called Mechanicsville. We have loved living near them and try to visit them often.  Adam's Grandpa loves to take us to his favorite place to eat- 'The Supper Club.' It is located in the teeny town of Hale.... It is good ole' fashion Iowa country food. Lots of Mayo-- and pretty much everything is fried. There isn't a green thing to be seen (well except the iceberg lettuce, and coleslaw that is drenched in mayo--- oh and the peas in the creamy pea salad). We love to go and they really do have some delicious broasted (aka deep fried) chicken.  So of course with family in town this would be the only logical place to go.  I think everyone loved it!!

Master Adam.

Adam graduated with his Masters of Business Administration from the Tippie School of Business at the University of Iowa last Friday.  I am so proud of all his work and accomplishments.  It was so great to honor him on his big day!  So glad Lincoln was able to support his Daddy. Congrats Adam- now back to the real world!
