Misc. May Happenings

May was another fun month playing and enjoying the weather before it gets too hot outside--- this is what we were up to.
Sunroc had a job in Santa Clara so sometimes in the evenings Adam would take Lincoln over to the big machinery and look and "play" in them. Lincoln loves to go to the jobsite with his Dad!
The fist Sat. of the month is always a fun one for Lincoln. Adam usually takes him to Home Depot and they do the free kids project. This month they made a little flower pot stand and got a flower to put in it to give to their moms on mother's day.

Playing in the hammock with Jackson and Channing.
Our neighbor Ammon came to play one day so we did a bike ride to Nanas and played a bit.  As we left he said, "Can we come to your Grandma's house everytime we play."  Yes Ammon I know my parents house is much more fun then ours.
We've been looking to get a bike with pedals for Lincoln for awhile now so he can learn how to ride a real bike... here he is testing one out in the store.
Lincoln thinks this is the perfect wagon to pull Norah around in.
This is Mother's Day--- we are talking to Aunt Whitney on Skype.  Here she is playing peek-a-boo with Lincoln. She looked great and seems to be doing well.

Lincoln sent this to Grandma Penny for Mother's Day.  It is the first time he wrote part of his name. I helped him with the L and the I.... but he did the other N, C, O, L, N.
We still love to have Andrew over on Thursdays... we always try to do something to keep these two little busy boys busy and out of trouble.
Here they are in Pop's Rhino trying to start it.
We made "Cloud Dough" one day and they loved playing in it.

 Picnic in the backyard!
They really wanted to get into the pool---- not yet boys!
We had fun with Shaving Cream-- getting messy, driving cars in it, and trying to eat it(Norah--- she lasted about 1 min of this).  :)

The New Boulevard in Cedar City was completed and they had their Grand Opening Celebration. We went and checked it all out. It was the first time that I had been in it and it is a beautiful store.  Lincoln and Channing's favorite part was the train inside.
Pops and Norah with her conducter hat on.
Shooting some hoops with Channing and Rylee in the kids area.
 It was a busy night!
We hung out in the kids toy area for a bit. Norah thinks she is a big kid now and can play with the other kids.
I was at the post office sending a packag-- while I was paying Lincoln comes up to me with a box over him and says, "Mom can you send me in the mail too?"  So I asked him where he wanted to go and he said to Grandmas--- which I am sure Grandma would have been very happy about!  He then would not take the box off his head til we got to the car! Funny kid.
One day we experimented with homemade puffy exploding chalk.  It is baking soda, cornstarch, and water in the squeeze bottles...  then after you make cool designs on the sidewalk you take a spray bottle full of vinegar and spray your drawings.. The cause a fun reaction of bubbles.  Lincoln loved it and wanted to do more and more even after all the paint was gone.

Adam stopped by Mater for a picture when he was in Page to check out a job that was biding.  Lincoln was jealous.
Adam and Lincoln also had Father and Sons---- this is the only picture that they took and sent me but I know they had a blast--- Lincoln loved staying up late and having soda.
It seems like every month I have at least one naked kid picture.
The end of the month we celebrated our 5 year anniversary!  So Adam took me to the new restaurant, "CliffSide." It was a fun place to eat with great views of the city.  I loved that we were looking down on the Temple---where 5 years ago we were sealed together for eternity. Love my man! It was a nice relaxing night and we thought the food and service were great! We left the kids with the Smiths and I don't think they had such a relaxing night- Norah is going through major stranger anxiety-fear so she cried a good part of the time!

Pine Valley for Memorial Day

We had a fun time in Pine Valley over Memorial Weekend!  There was lots of playing in the dirt----  I love how Norah is in her pretty little dress and bow but is getting dirty and playing with trucks.
We stayed up there on Sunday. We went to Sacrament at the little Chapel and there were so many people that they had set up a big screen tv outside and had the overflow outside on the lawn. It was quite entertaining and interesting to have church outside on the lawn.  After church we took a little drive to the Mountain Meadow Massacre Memorial and Overlook.  I hadn't been there since I was in YWs.

Lots of smiles and messy faces at Pine Valley.

Adam taking advantage of the peace and quiet and reading.
Monday we headed over to the lake and did a walk along the trail.. we went clear to the top of the paved trail and pack.... and then realized that we lost one of Norah's sandals. So I took a little jog back along the trail to see if I could find it--- no luck. Oh well.  We then had a picnic on one of the little picnic tables along the lake. So pretty and such a nice day.

Lincoln loved exploring and playing in the water.

It was a fun little weekend getaway--- just enough to recharge us for the next weeks activities!

Town Square with Cousins

We spent a fun afternoon at Town Square river and splashpad with Erin, Jackson, Rylee, and Channing.  The kids always love this place!

Norah was trying to figure out where the water came from--- it's a good thing that particular sprayer didnt go off right as she was looking in.
Norah, Lincoln, Rylee, Random boy, Channing, and Jack

I think it wore them out because by the time I pulled into our drive way this is what I found.
