Friday Night Family Date Night to Zion!

I had been wanting to go to Zion one last time before it got to cold-- then the Government decided to go all shut down mode and shut down all the national parks, including Zion. So it was a no go until Utah was given the okay to open up some of their parks. They had plans to open up 100% on Sat. but said they were opening partially Friday afternoon-- which would be free to get in.  It was a beautiful day so I texted Adam said that we will meet him in St. George as soon as he gets off work and then we would all head up to Zion!  It was the perfect night. We got there around 6 and because most of the trails were still closed off- it was still pretty quiet around the area.  We headed up through the tunnels to do the "Overlook" hike. I had actually never done it before and it was beautiful.  It was only about a 2 mile hike- perfect for us carrying Lincoln and Norah.  We also got super lucky and saw Moutain sheep all over!  I have never once seen one while hiking in Zion before and now we literally saw 10-20.  Lincoln was loving it especially.
We got to the lookout just as the sun was setting behind the mountains!
After our hike we headed back down to Springdale and got some dinner at a local Mexican restaurant- which was pretty tasty. I loved our little night and it felt like a mini vacation getting out and about!

Night at Staheli Farms!

We love Fall and what better way to spend a nice fall evening than out at Staheli Farm. This was the first time as a family visiting the farm. We had a great time.
When we first arrived there one of the first things that Lincoln saw was the little ducks that you race down the old rain cutters by pumping water.  To say he LOVED doing it would be an understatement. He had no interest in doing any of the other activities.  It took him some major convincing try everything else.  Then everytime he saw the ducks he would insist on going over there.

We did finally get him to do a few more things.
I think I liked the jumping blob more than Lincoln.
He liked the animals- as long as he wasn't too close to them.
Norah's first tractor!  The cutest little farmer around.
 The hay ride!
The train was another of Lincoln's favorites.
Love my little buddy and love that he is getting old enough to enjoy different activities!

St. George Marathon- Adam Rocks it!

The last few months Adam has been spending his early mornings doing lots of running!  It is true when they say that the marathon isn't really just the race, but it is all those hours that are spent out training--- mile after mile after mile.  He worked really hard and was very prepared for Race Day!  Adam finished with an amazing time of 3:30:48 (8:02 min/mile).  Pretty good for his first marathon.  We went near the finish line to watch him. He looked so strong- sprinting at the end.  We were so proud of him! Now that he has done a marathon, I am going to have to do one.  :)
(here are a bunch of pics I got from the pics they took-yes we are too cheap to buy them- hence the the blurriness and watermarks on them all).

Adam's biggest cheerleaders!
We are so proud of you babe-- you rocked it!
