February

We had a little bit of a rough Feb.  It started the first of the month with both the kids being sick off and on.  We had throw-up, diarrhea, lots of wines, boogers, and all the fun stuff!  I would think one kid would be better and the next would get it, then the other that I thought was better would throw-up. It made for a long couple of days.... I was lucky enough to be showered with red roses. They stayed beautiful for half the month!  I loved them.  Lincoln also got invited to his first friend birthday party. McKay Ericksen who is in both his pre-school and primary class had his 4th birthday party. They went to the Children's museum, got some yummy McDonalds, and then went to the park to play. Lincoln had a great time.
At the same time of all these sickness, Marci was lucky enough to go to Vegas and meet up with JoAnna Swenson for a quick girls get away.  We went to Britney Spears(yes it was awesome living in the glory days), a Zarkana Cirque De Soleil(which was amazing and entertaining) and just enjoyed time away from being Mom.  It came at the perfect time and I loved spending the day and night with JoAnna.  She really is the best.
We then headed up to Northern Utah for a weekend visit because Adam had meetings.  We also spent Sat. watching Brevan wrestle at a tournament.  We ended the weekend with a date night to the Jazz game!
We got home and had a few good days---- until Adam started feeling sick with the flu- lots of aches and pains, and headaches, and shivers/sweats, not sleeping, vomitting.  At this same time we had been planning to go to Brianhead and finally spend time at the cabin up there.  Adam wasn't feeling up for it, so he stayed home to try and get some rest while the rest of us went up with Nana and Pops and met up with Uncle Jordan and Aunt Whitney.  We had a great time playing in the snow, riding the rhino, relaxing, and checking out Cedar Breaks in the snow. Adam surprised us on Sat.(Valentines Day) for the afternoon and hung out for a couple of hours before we headed back home.  He still wasnt feeling perfect but good enough to come up.  So we got home Valentines night and basically went to bed--- Valentines is no fun with a sickie husband!   We did take some Valentines pics of the kids for Grandma Grandpa and Dad!!  and I had to dress in my  red and white for my 34 week prego pic!
The next day-which was Sunday just got worse for Adam. He stayed home and I got to take the kids to church so he could hopefully sleep.  The following day things were still bad so we went to the instacare- where really they just said keep doing what you are doing cause sometimes the flu lasts 10 days.... aaagghh. I think we were all going crazy by this point. Adam cause he was so miserable and the Marci because it is no fun to have to take care of two kids and a husband. On Wednesday night Adam woke up with horrible chest pain so early thursday morning we took him to the ER to get it checked out. After a whole bunch of tests they found that he had Myopericarditis due to the flu- which resulted in an overnight hospital stay. We were grateful it was just that-- something that is just temporary.
What a blessing it is to have Doctors that can help us feel better!  The rest of the weekend we just relaxed and took it easy.  Poor Adam ended up being sick for a week and a half and missed 6 days of work.  Not fun for him and it made us realize how much Adam does for us all.

We had some really nice weather days in the middle of Feb. All the flowers were starting to bloom and blossoms were coming out!  We have had such a warm winter that we werent sure we were going to get more cold---- but it arrived and brought us our first snow of the year! I knew it wouldn't last long so we had to go out and build a snowman. Lincoln named him Billy and all day we were waiting for him to tip over.  He lasted til about 4 oclock and then tumbled and melted all away!

Pops was babysitting one night and he sent us this picture. Norah had gotten into the baggies and taken them all out of the box. Lincoln then had to join in all of the fun!
They loved looking for safari animals through their toilet paper roll binoculars.

One day at pre-school Lincoln learned about Picasso and that you can make art out of anything. They had done an abstract art project at school so when he got home he wanted to do another one.  He collected all kinds of things and added them to his project.  Some of the things he found were bobby pin, paperclip, toothe cleaner, little balls, and stuff from our craft bucket. He loves to do crafts!

The rest of the month was spent recooperating and trying to get everyone healthy.  Norah seemed to have a runny nose that never wanted to go away.  Norah has also found a new obsession with ALL THINGS SHOES--- and dressing her self.  She seriously will change her shoes 20x a day. No exaggeration. She is also very particular about which shoes she wears and if anyone else isn't wearing shoes she will go to your closet and get you your shoes for you to wear.  Lets just say it is cute but man it gets old.  haha.  I guess that is a girl for you.

Lincoln and Norah always love to go to Nana and Pops house. Here they are "helping" Nana.... or more like just playing in the water.
Once Daddy was feeling better they got back to their normal routine of wrestling! We love Dad and the fun we have with him.

The kids love to play the piano and ukelele for FHE music.  It is the cutest!

Marci at 36 Weeks.. Feeling ready for this baby to come.... excited and very nervous!
It was the last day of the month and with all the craziness, Adam wasnt able to get his Home Teaching done. So we all helped and made some yummy sugar cookies to take to them.

Other than that in Feb. Marci was released from her calling as Secretary in the Young Womens. It was def. a bittersweet time because I have really loved being with the Young Women and feeling of their spirit, learning from them, and getting to know them and the other leaders.
