Thailand Trip-- Flight, Bangkok, Phuket

Yay!! We made it to Thailand. After a LONG couple of days we made it to Bangkok and were so excited to start our adventure.  Our flights went pretty well with not too many issues.  We did have to drive the kids to South Jordan the day before we left, and then drive back to St. George so that made our traveling a bit longer.  We got back to St. George around 11 pm and Roy and Diane were picking us up at 4 am to drive us down to Vegas so we figured we might as well stay up all night and then try to sleep once we got on our long flight. We got to Vegas--- flew to Vancouver, Canada, then flew to Hong Kong and then onto Bangkok. We arrived pretty late that night and went straight to our hotel. We were welcomed with blue flower juice. Lets just say I took a few drinks and had had my fill.  Immediately I was reminded how amazing Thai customer service is and how friendly everyone is!

Here we are at Breakfast at the hotel the next morning. I ordered Lime pancakes.
It was kind of like a sweet cornbread with lime flavoring--- pretty tasty!
Excited to have my Mom and Dad here on this adventure with us as well.
We didn't stay in Bangkok long and basically right after breakfast we headed back to the airport and flew down to Phuket--- actually Khoalok is were we spent all of our time.  It was the perfect way to start out the vacation! Lots of relaxation, beach, and sun.   The first day we arrived there that afternoon so we mostly just relaxed at the resort.
This is right in front of our resort.

 Day 1 complete!
Day 2 we had scheduled a boat/scuba/tour trip to the Island Surin. Getting our snorkle gear.
We then hopped on a speed boat and headed out.
 Adam, Tyler, Erin, and Diane

We stopped at the Mu Ko Surin National Park for some Native Thai food.
Loved the blue blue water and the cool Thai long tail boats.

We got to do some snorkeling three different times in three different places.  It as so fun and the fish were great!
Marci
Tyler, Adam, Sheldon checking something out!
The next day we spent more time relaxing, eating, getting Thai Massages, and soaking up the sun.

Pool time, reading, and yummy drinks during happy hour!
This is where we would have our "expensive" breakfast each morning. It over looked the ocean.

This is where we got the massages at.  I felt weird taking a picture when people were actually getting their massages so I took it when they were closed. It was right along the beach.  Those Thai ladies are tough. I can't imagine giving massages for 9 hours straight!  I loved both the ones I had. Adam liked his but I think felt a little bit uncomfortable at times.   :)

These are pics at our resort. It was a fun little place with little hotel room huts all around. The rooms were awesome as well.

Getting Ready to head out and back to the airport in Phuket and then to fly to Bangkok! We loved our time in Khaolok and had some much needed relaxation and downtime with out the kids! It was truly paradise.
