Chaing Mai- Hill Tribe, Mountain Wat, & Church

Sunday we had a great time at church. It is always a great to experience the church in other countries.  One of the American Sister missionaries translated for us the whole time so we got to wear the cool headphones and listen to everything.  They even called upon us all in Relief Society to bare our testimonies on Visiting Teaching.  After church the ward had a dinner and invited us to eat.  Yummy and interesting authentic Thai food.
After church we headed to the 'Karen Hill Tribe'- known for their long necks because of the rings that they put on them. It was crazy how many rings they had on some of them. All of the girls their were beautiful, but honestly I felt so bad for all the little girls that were basically put on parade for tourists to see... taking pics for money. It also cost $15 just to get in and see them.  You could tell that some of them were not happy with their life but were being forced to live like this. I didn't get any pictures but many off them also put rings on their legs and knees---which looked painful.

This was the cutest little girl.  She was making scarfs--- so I had to buy one from her.

Our next stop was the Hill Wat...  not sure what it was called.

We had to climb a bunch of stairs to get to the top.

Adam decided to get cloned for this picture..? :)  The magic of cameras.

This was our taxi for the day...  the back of the truck again!
Later that evening Adam and I went out for a walk to explore some and came upon a night bazaar that was crazy busy... Too busy.  It was wall to wall people.  We did not stay long.
We made sure to get a banana Rotee though... these were my favorite while in chaing Mai.  I had at least one a day.  They are kind of like crepes, less than a dollar, and oh so delicious.
Here we are at dinner... and that is our Hotel, the 'De Naga Hotel' in the background.
We love Chaing Mai--- next up was our last adventure--- Elephant Riding!
