What a wild month it was!! Basically our whole world was flipped upside down. Because of Covid- quarantine and all that came with Corona, lets just say our Birthday plans changed significantly. What was planning birthday parties for the kids one minute changed to at home, everything shut down, we are not going anywhere or seeing anyone kind of birthdays. We made the best of it though. Cade was thrilled to have an army cake and celebration. We had to have an obstacle course downstairs, complete with nerf gun wars. He was happy about the Space Shuttle Legos that Grandma got him and was happy that even though we couldn't go to Pizza Factory to get his number 5 pizza, they were still doing take out so we ordered it and picked it up. I don't think it could have gone any better if without Quarantine. We had each other and he thought it was the best day! Happy 5th Birthday buddy.
We love sharing Birthdays!
HAPPY 9th Birthday to my Harry Potter Loving Lincoln. We partied all things magical. Legos and Nintendo game for presents went over well. Lincoln and Mom attempted to make a Cheesecake from Scratch. It didnt turn out looking the best but it stil tasted good. We brought the cheesecake over to Nana and Pop's house to have them celebrate with us. While there we busted out the sparklers and pretended they were our harry potter wands and had spell contests. They had fun pretending to be little wizards.
The party kept going the next day! Norah was planning to have a friends tea party birthday party--- so we had to improvise! She found all her favorite Beanie Boo friends and Brothers and we made the tea party happen. Norah brings so much light and happiness to our home. We loved celebrating this new 7 year old and spoiling her on her special day.
She really wanted to help make her cake this year and she wanted an Ice Cream cake. So we made time the day before (on Lincolns Birthday) to assemble it all. She did awesome and was so proud of the finished product. Another exciting event was that the night before her birthday she lost one of her front teeth. The next morning the toothfairy had left a dollar bill folded into a present with another dollar in it! Great way to start birthday morning. And that toothless grin is just the best. Birthday week turned out to be perfect. Despite all the craziness going on in the world we were still able to celebrate with each other, and really that is what is most important!
