March- Corona Virus Shut down

We sure didn't see this coming!!  March was wild and unexpected.  We started off with news reports of a virus that started in China and was making its way to the US. No one really knows how to treat it and many say it can be fatal for many people... especially the elderly and immunocompromised. So ya it's been interesting. Basically the government has shut everything down- except for essential businesses.  Mid-march was the kids Spring break like always.  We were in the middle of our week off, when word got to us, that no one would be going back to school and it would be closed at least of another couple of weeks---- (we did online school and they say we will be doing that until May 1st at least) to hopefully flatten the curve and hopefully stop the spread of the Corona Virus. All public events (with more than 20 people have been cancelled), all sports, extracurricular activities, in person church, basically everything.  So many missionaries have been sent home early (Nana and Pop's mission has been postponed to leave until Aug. 18th as of right now).  We have been watching the news daily watching the number of cases and really we've just been told to quarantine for 2 weeks, only really going to places that you need.   With all that, it has made for craziness at the stores-- the shelves were pilfered of EVERYTHING.   Especially Food storage stuff and Toilet Paper is a hot commodity.  I am blessed that we have plenty to spare and dont have to go fight the crowds looking for what we need.  It is actually weird to go out and about because everyone is scared of everyone..... we've been told to stay 6 feet away from everyone, they have plastic up to protect workers, and masks are being worn.  It is like everyone is already affected.  I so hate it but holding onto my family and enjoying all this extra time with them.

Right before Quarantine happened, Lincoln and Norah's friends rented out the movie Theatre and invited a bunch of families to watch the movie 'Onward'.  Lincoln was happy to sit with a bunch of his buddies in the cool chairs.

The week before (or really Quarantine started), Tyler and Erin(along with Jackson and Ry) had a trip planned to Hawaii. While they were there all the real craziness started to happen.  But we were lucky enough to watch Channing and Blair for a few of the days.  We had a blast... sleepovers, Snow Canyon and the sandunes, and lots of cousin time.  They were even here on St. Patrick's Day so that was fun to have them celebrate with us.

Once quarantine started, we had lots and lots of family time.  We busted out all the Legos---- sorted them all by colors and re put together all the sets that we had.  It kept us busy for a few days. haha.  The front  room became quite the Lego room. The Lego train was def well used.   Online school was def a challenge and hoping its gets better.  Such an interesting time.

The national parks were shut down, but you could still go up to them without paying.  It was fun to experience the park a little different than normal.  Always love that view.

We started Church at home. Grandpa and Grandma came over---- It was Grandpa's birthday week so Norah made sure that he got sung to and got his birthday treat.  She is so thoughtful!!
