June

We started the month off with a trip to Northern Utah to visit family and to attend Sammie's Baptism.  We first spent a few days in South Jordan area with Grandma and Grandpa.  We took a drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Silver Lake. There was still lots of snow-- so the kids had fun making snowballs and throwing them at us.

We then stopped by Great Grandpa Butterfields house for a visit. Always great to see him....

We then headed up to Logan but first we stopped in Kaysville to get some Snowcones with Nick and Erica and their family.  Lincoln loved the how big it was and Cade must had way too much because on our drive once we got to Brigham City, he threw up everywhere.  It was horrible but he was happy as can be getting all cleaned up. Mom-- not so happy about it all.

Sammie's baptism was beautiful and afterward we went to a park and had some good food and the kids loved playing at the splashpad--- Only got one picture from that. :)

The next week, my friend from High School, Sheila Rich was in town visiting her family. So I got together with Shayla and Joy (also HS friends) and we had a great time catching up.   We went swimming and had pizza over at Sharla's house with the familes. The kids always Love that pool!  The next night some of the girls went to Tuacahn to watch Tarzan.  Always loves Girls Night Out and always love hanging with some of my favorite High School friends.

Pine Valley was our next stop for June.. We tried our hand at fishing and mostly just caught sea weed but the kids always have fun at the attempt.  The kids also went and shot their BB gun with Dad.  Later that day a poor little hummingbird flew into the cabin and couldn't get out.  He flew to the top window thinking he could get out but kept running out of energy to even fly.  So we came up with a soda can filled with some sugar water on the top attached to a big long pole to see if we could get the little guy to come down.  We tried and tried and tried, but couldn't quite convince the little guy to stay on the can long enough to get down. We thought he was a goner but a few hours later he had some how fallen down and was at the kitchen window. He still didn't have enough energy to fly out so we captured him and took him outside. Not sure if he survived out there but we tried out best.. haha.

Here is a little bit else of what we were up to in June:
We always make sure to celebrate Grandpa Glenn's Birthday... birthday cake it was this year!
Lots of outside playing in the sun and pooltime. Nana was the sweetest and offered to teach all the grandkids swim lessons.  My kids loved it..... and started out the lessons very VERY timid of the water.Like Norah wouldn't even let go of an adult that was in the water with her.  By the end she was swimming with a floatie on her own.  Also Lincoln always had to have a life jacket on and didn't like to have any of his face under the water. He improved a ton as well and was brave enough to go under water and swim with out a life jacket on.  Yay for Nana.   Norah go to have her lessons with Emma and they called themselves waterbugs. both Lincoln and Norah looked forward to everyday swimming with their cousins and nana.
The Thorleys also moved back from Texas and were living in the basement at Nana and Pop's house. We loved it and spent lots of time up there playing.  It is so fun to have them back close.

Cade really picked up his game on driving mom and dad crazy.  He started exploring, climbing, and getting into everything. From the toilet, to the sink, to on top of the table this kid is always always on the go.

Lincoln also went to Safety Town with one of his little friends Roan.  They had a good time and they sure looked cute in their graduation hats.
