Thanksgiving in Pine Valley

We headed up to Pine Valley Wednesday afternoon. That evening we invited anyone else from the Barton clan that was around to come and have some soup and hot chocolate bar- and of course to just play and socialize. We had a pick group attend that night.
Aunt Whitney clearly is already staking her claim as favorite Aunt. She is hanging with the kids helping them crack nuts.
Lincoln always loves time with Channing and they loved having Alex Esplin around to play with as well.
Norah made friends with Justin and Maggie's daughter.
The next morning we had our annual Turkey Trot up to the reservoir and back.  I think we pulled up the rear this year.  Lincoln and Norah were both in the stroller, but Lincoln kept wanting to get out and walk.  Fun!
At the reservoir!  It was def. a chilly morning but felt good to get out and get some exercise!
The cabin's first time Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner... which I am sure will be the first of many to come.
 Yummy turkey cheeseball appetizers.
Grandma Barton gave us a little scare right as we were starting to dig into our yummy dinner.  She suddenly passed out, slouched over, and stopped breathing.  There was some quick action taken by many including Larry, James and others--- others called 911 and luckily all was ok and the paramedics did come and check her out.  I guess she had really high blood sugars and just passed out.  She doesnt. It scared us all and the rest of dinner wasn't quite as tasty as it would have been.  We are so lucky to have such an amazing Grandma with us and we feel blessed to have her and Grandpa still around!
After dinner there was lots of lounging around. Lincoln and Channing found the croquet and had a good time hitting the balls around.
