So the first snow day was on Thursday. It started snowing at around 1230-1 oclock and didnt stop until about 9. It was insane. It just kept coming and coming and coming. So as a result all of Boston decided to make it a Snow day, cancelling work, school etc. This only made things, especially the roads and public transportation, a huge mess. Everyone in the city of Boston trying to get somewhere all at once... Not the smartest idea. On top of that snow plows trying to clear the roads. Lets just say the normal 20 minute commute took hours to complete. Luckily I hadnt left the house for the day so i was tucked inside staying nice and warm. Jo and I did decide to venture out to go to the gym.... and yes it was an adventure but good times as always!! Also around 7 or so my friends and I decided to walk in the snow to a little pizza place to celebrate "our biggest Loser" competition ending. We had a great time taking pics, jumping in snow piles, and talking to everyone that was shoveling their sidewalks.
Here are some pics for you to enjoy.
This is Jo and I trying to get out of the snow pile that we dove head first into...
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Kate and Jo... on our walk home from the pizza place.
Me and the rest of my roomies!
Speaking of roommates I want to tell you all had FANTASTIC they are. On Thursday night when we got back from pizza we had our "Roommate Christmas." It just like having an early Christmas. We had such a good time just hanging out, giving and unwrapping presents, and then of course utilizing all the new great gifts we had received. I love when you get gifts the receiver really has put a lot of thought into. Each of the gifts I received from my roommates were so great!! They were all items that I LOVE and will use! So check out my roommate christmas!!
Our cute christmas tree and presents!!
The aftermath...
Jo and I LOVE the Red Sox... our new blanket and apron.
Sorry everyone that this is such a LONG post.... but I have been enjoying the Christmas season and want to share it all with you. My last event worth writing about was an "Ugly Sweater Party" I attended on Friday night. Lets just say it was fantastic!! Jo and I got the brilliant idea to make our own christmas sweaters. So compliments of walmart for their $5 dollar white sweatshirt and the dollar store for their endless supply of cheap christmas decorations we came up with two masterpieces. Lets just say that we bought, built, and conquered... and yes when I say conquered I mean Conquer. Who knew what a little felt, wood glue, safety pins, and wire could do. Jo took home the grand prize..while I took home another prize (lets call it second place)!! Here are some pics of us in our Masterpieces.
This is Me downtown in Boston...(you can see the working lights on my tree). I think one of the best parts of the night was Jo and I sporting our sweaters as we took the "T"....went shopping in Best Buy.... and just walking around Downtown. I must say that everyone admired us for our Holiday Cheer.
Brenda and I rocking our sweet sweaters.. She pretty much rocked with her ensemble of ugliness.
Other Ugly Sweater Party Goers... Dont my friends rock?
Jo with her prize... I wish you could see her sweater better cause she had three HUGE ornament balls hanging from the tree.. it was delightfully tacky.
So this is me with my prize. I must say that i got the best prize... The RED SOX World Series Champion DVD.
well back into bed... I love being lazY! Merry Christmas Everyone.
