My Sweet Grandpa June passed away. What a blessing for him to be back reunited with my Grandma. He was always some that I could look up to as a quiet giant. He didn't have much to say (which I can totally relate to) but his example by his actions and the way he treated everyone was one I will never forget and hope to emulate in my daily actions and deeds. The funeral was really good. Each of his children spoke and I learned so much about the young man that he was--- I should have learned these things while he was a live but I was so grateful to be able to hear so many great stories and memories. He will be missed.
My mom and her siblings have been in the process of cleaning out my Grandparents home--- so they let us all go in and let the kids pick something they wanted to take home. Cade was thrilled to be able to take the tractor and some lego duplos home that he always played with when there. Norah found a doll and some little dollhouse chairs that my Grandma had made and of course some craft scissors of my grandmas. My kids loved going to Grandma and Grandpa greats so they could play with all the old toys and get Grandmas cookies. I hope that remember my grandparents and the few memories they had with them.
Other summer fun-- swimming at Nana and Pops. Dad is always the favorite in the pool. I wish that I enjoyed swimming more but I just get too cold. ADam is def. the fun one when it comes to pool time. The kids had fun with Pops and Uncle Josh throwing them as well.
Damon is growing up into more of a toddler everyday. He still prefers Dad but occasionally he likes his mama.
Another year at the dirt farm in the books. I didnt get many pics, just these couple of the 3-legged race and some light stick fun at night.
Cruise prep was in full swing. We were telling the kids about what cruise ships have on them so they wanted to draw their own boats. They got pretty creative!
