Here we are loaded up in the truck to go to Logan for the 4th. The drive is def the worst part. We seem to always make it (lots of complaining, lots of are we there yets, and usually a throw up or I don't feel good. Luckily this time we made it without too much drama).
We go to Logan and headed to the Winns house. They are troopers and invited us to stay with them for a couple of nights. The kids loved the little tramp inside the house in the basement. Boston and Lyla have the best toys so the kids were not complaining one bit. The next morning (the 4th) we headed to the parade. We happened to score some killer seats even though we basically got there right when the parade was starting. Right place at the right time i guess. The kids got hooked up with candy. Later that night we had some fireworks at the Winns with Brian's family as well. It was actually freezing. We arent used to a cold 4th of July. We are usually sweating our pants off begging to go inside or be in the pool. We all had to borrow sweatshirts and jackets and blankets to watch the fireworks. We did not come prepared.
Aggie Ice Cream for the Win! Then we went to the park for some fun cousin time.
We headed back to stay and Penny and Steves for a night so we decided to go and explore the Lower Bell Canyon Hike--- we weren't quite sure what kind of hike we were getting into but the kids did awesome because we kept telling them we were going to make it to a lake to feed the ducks--- good thing there were ducks there becayse feeding the ducks was def a highlight for the kids. It was a gorgeous day and great to get outside----- I dont think we had to many complainy kids either! Score!
Grandma is always the best entertainer! We had the best time and loved getting out of the heat to more green and cooler temperatures! Happy Independence Day.
