April

The first of August after Nana and Pops headed off to Africa, we moved all our stuff up to their house.  We love everything about it but I think the kids especially love the backyard and all the space and things to play on.  I love that it is all fenced and Cade is trapped.   So in April we did lots of playing outside!

Easter time was filled with Easter Hunts like every year. We had the Sat. Kiwanis one at the Santa Clara Park.  Cade learned quick that ht needs to pick up the candy and put it in his basket.

Lincoln was pretty excited that he got a prize egg!
That afternoon we headed over to the Losees for the Barton Easter Party.  Aunt Karen had planned some fun games. We had an egg toss, a few other hard boiled egg games, and of course the egg hunt.

The Friday before we had the Wittwer party!  Lots of eggs, lots of candy, and lots of fun with cousins and family!
On actual Easter we invited Tim and Heidi and their family up for an Easter dinner.  We had Ham, Potatoes, and all the fixings.  It was yummy and fun to have them up.  Norah was excited about her tomb that she made in Primary. She told us all about Jesus and how he was resurrected.
We got a quick pic of the kids before church. Norah was the only one that would cooperate for an individual.

Lincoln thinks it is pretty cool to have a piano to play around on.  Now if only I knew enough to teach him. ;)
Other fun April activities...
The Kite Festival- Lincoln had earned a free kite by reading so we went and had a good time.
Cade is still as busy as ever in Sacrament meeting.  We rarely make it through without him having to be taken out.  Often times he ends up in an empty classroom to contain him.

I love this picture of Adam and Lincoln reading the scriptures together.
Cade throwing his food is pretty much a daily if not multi daily experience. Oh the joys of cleaning up after him.
He thinks toilets are pretty cool too...  Why not put shampoo in it and then try to clean it with the brush.
Cade has loved exploring all the new things in Nana and Pop's house. More for him to get into trouble with. He LOVES the sink and is constantly dragging a chair or stool over to it to turn the water on and play in.  It drives his  Mom and Dad Crazy!

He had pushed his high chair out on the patio-- always up to something.
Cade found the Sunscreen and knew just what to do with it.
I guess Cade was tired because he got one of his pillows and took it out to the porch and lied down.
Norah found this jammies in Nana's closet and she HAD to put them on.  Cutie pie.
We had to get one last picture in front of our little house that we spent 5 years in. So many great memories associated with it. It will always have a little special place in our hearts.
My friend, Jenni Jones came down to St. George so we got together and went out to the sand dunes. The kids loved meeting new friends and it was so great to see her.
We also had Pine Valley Cleanup with all the Wittwers... here are a few pics from that.

In one of Lincoln's science kits he learned how to make bouncing bubbles and thought it was the coolest thing.  I had to take lots of pictures of him holding and bouncing the bubbles back and forth from hand to hand.

Whitney found the old play violin and Cade got to try it out. Future violinist!?
Lincoln and some of his friends after they built their huge rocket ship out of magnatiles.. They were pretty proud of it.  (Lincoln, Brady Frei, Grace, Cooper)

Lincoln had his field day at school and his partner for the 3 legged race was his buddy Brady Frei. They did pretty well-- they got to the finals but in the final race they tripped about 10 feet from the finish line. They were cute little partner s though.

Some of his Kindergarten friends: Madsen, Grace, Max, Lincoln, and ?

Marci got together with Shayla and Joy and we went to Kailis for dinner. It was not only delicious but we always love visiting with Herb and wendy Basso. We had to take this picture and send it to Sheila in Hawaii telling her we missed her.

Adam and Marci had a date night Brazilian cooking class at Harmons.  We had a blast, the food was yummy and even our Pao de Quijio turned out.  Now Adam expects me to make it more often.  It was a great night!
