March

We love March- for obvious reasons like it is Birthday month... but also the weather is usually just perfect here in St. George to get out and explore the great outdoors.  We made sure to take advantage of all that Southern Utah has to offer.
We first headed out to Snow Canyon Sand dunes with Heidi and her kids, Shayla and her kids to play in the sand.  They could have stayed all day!  It's worth it to have sand all over for a few days.

 Wyatt and Norah

Wyatt and Lincoln

Heidi with the kids digging in their hole.

The weather was also nice enough to go outside and experiment with the camera I got for Christmas... plus lots of fun and pretty blooms and green grass.  Lincoln, Norah, and Cade were good sports to put up with all my picture taken. And boy do we have cute kids. :)
The swings are an easy way to get some good natural smiles out of them.

Norah got sick of my taking her pic and only wanted to make silly faces for me. She has sass for sure.

These 2 love each other--- most of the time!

We also went out to Glitter Mountain Gypsum Mine.  Lincoln loved trying to dig out the actual gypsum, Norah was happy as can be just filling her bucket with whatever pieces she could find on the ground, and Cade, like his usual self, was constantly wandering and exploring the pit.  Adam was a good sport and did all the hard labor of getting the pieces out, while I chased Cade and took pictures.

 Love all my little miners.

Lincoln had to go to he Dr. for a checkup. Adam took him so of course after they stopped and got some yummy ice cream and Zeppes. Lucky kid.

This rock pile is just another one of Lincoln's contraptions.
We helped Nana and Pops with some yard work one night and the kids were lucky enough to go for a ride with Pops on the lawn mower.  All smiles from them.
Norah and Mom had a date and all Norah wanted to do was get Ice Cream and play at the play place at McDonalds.  Done and Done.
Cade still loves all things balls...  always making a mess.
... and here he is at a local park. He wanted to join some random older boys and play basketball with them. I don't think that they were as interested.
We also went out to Snow Canyon and did the little hike to JEnny's Canyon. Always a fun, easy, and beautiful hike with the kids.

The Sunday before Nana and Pops were to leave on their mission, we had a family steak dinner and get together with everyone.  We had a great time, sang happy birthday to Heidi, the kids got a little FHE lesson from Nana, and we just had fun visiting.  Later that evening they were set apart as Missionaries and it was great to be able to hear their blessings and the promises they were given.  Love my parents and their example of sacrifice and love. We are sure going to miss them for the next year and a half but cant wait to hear all about their adventures.  They headed to the MTC for a couple of weeks and then were able to come back to Santa Clara for a few days before heading out to Africa.

The night before they were to head out to Africa we were able to say our last goodbyes.  The kids loved their missionary tags and got in their hugs. We love our missionaries.

When they were back for those couple of days... before they headed to Africa we had arranged to have family pics taken. They were taken out at in WAshington. Look how our family has grown!  Love all these people.
Ammon was just born so he was lucky enough to make the grandkid picture!  14 and counting!

Here are a couple of outtakes but I still liked them. :)

We had a quick few shots of our little family as well.
