September was a month to relax a little bit and settle down from the busy summer. The first weekend we headed up to PV to 'test drive' our milk can dinner from Nana and Pops PV Garden. Delish.-- We had fun with family and the kids love playing in the dirt, building their fort, and especially playing with cousins.
September started off so warm.. Still fun playing in the sprinklers and lying on the hot payment to dry off. Oh to be a kid again. Adam also got 6 tickets to Tuacahn's Peter Pan for helping someone change a tire on the side of the road as a Thank you. We we took the family.... and Tyler and Rylee. The kids loved it and it was a great show. a fun little night out. And Thank you Stacy Langston for giving us the tickets. :)
Now that Lincoln is in Kindergarten, Norah and Cade have more time to spend together with each other. They def have a love hate relationship. I had to snap these cute pictures of them loving up on each other. Lincoln and Norah also continued to take gymnastics and love it.
Norah's was so so so excited to start Pre-school. She had been watching Lincoln going to school for a few weeks and kept asking when it was her turn. She was more than ready to go and loved her first day at Miss Janae's Little Patch of Heaven Pre-school.
We took a trip up to Northern Utah (I think for a meeting Adam had). The kids always love helping Grandma in the kitchen- or really help her with anything. Grandma is the best. We also asked Aunt Rachael to come and try to help us cut Cade's hair. He had never got a real haircut. I have tried to trim it before but it is so hard to get him to hold still so I hadn't wanted to take him to just anyone. Let's just say he did not like it one bit and Rachael was a saint and did awesome for at least giving him a decent haircut. Even the sucker wasn't working for a bit--- finally between the sucker and watching a show he sat still for a second.
Later in the month, we went to PV again for the official Milk Can dinner. Nana invited her siblings/spouses, and the Wittwer siblings/spouse... along with all of us so we all went up and ate a delicious milk can garden dinner. It was even better than the first time. Tim also scored some free cross-country skies from craigslist.... so we had to test them out on the grass. Can't wait to try them out in the winter.
Sunroc also did some work over across the creek on the bank lining the river. We went to check it out so Pop's snapped a picture of us. :) We made our annual trip to the rodeo and the kids loved it like always. We had a Dr. appt and Norah found this little face mask so she wanted to wear it around for the afternoon. :) Lincoln still loves to be outside, so when pops was out in the back cleaning manure from the barn he wanted to go and help. He grabbed his little shovel and went and hauled poop. September is always full of picking peaches, drying peaches, bottling peaches, and most importantly just eating peaches!! We love them. Lincoln has started to be a little monkey and wants to climb the walnut tree in the backyard.
Dad took Lincoln on a date to FIesta Fun... Just by the look of the pics you can tell it was an awesome night for Lincoln. Dad spoiled him no doubt and of course they had to top the night off with frozen yogurt.
The last weekend of September is always a favorite of ours--- especially living down on Santa Clara Drive. It is so fun to be part of all the Swiss Days festivities. The kids love the pioneer activities at the church....the last couple of years drums have been a fave. We also signed up for the 5k. We all ran.... and lincoln ended up 3rd place in his division.... he earned it even if he did get to hop on the stroller when he got to tired. Good job buddy. He was sure proud of his little white cow bell metal! We also won a swiss days hat, a t-shirt, chick-fil-a lunch from the raffle. Good times for sure.
