Lincoln and Norah's Birthday!

Lincoln turned 5 on the 29th and he woke up to this birthday banner and 5 balloons. He loves all things animals and wild kratts so he wanted a wild kratts birthday. Chris and Martin left him a little note saying to follow the string to find some surprise. Lincoln loved following the rope trail under the table and around stuff. He found some good stuff including legos, some new clothes, a batman from Norah, and a boogie board sketch pad.  We followed that up with a pancake breakfast with sprinkles and a candle.

That night we decided to have a combined party for both norah and Lincoln at Ready, Set, Play (an indoor playground).  We were just going to go to a park but then the weather got windy and cold.  They invited some friends to come, the kids played, we had pizza, cake and ice cream. The kids loved it all.  Lincoln's cake was a Ice Cream Wild Kratts cake and Norah had to have her Minnie cake that she has been asking for for the last couple of months whenever you ask about her birthday. Shayla did an amazing job making Norahs! She was in minnie heaven.

After the party we came home and Lincoln got to pop his 5 balloons--- revealing that their was a $1 bill in each of them.  The day went awesome. The next day, the 30th was Norah's birthday. So we pretty much had to do the same stuff for her that we did for Lincoln. That is one thing that isn't so great about having birthdays so close---- you feel like you have to do the same things or one kid gets left out or mad.  haha.  Anyway Norah woke up to her birthday banner and 3 balloons!  She then did her rope scavenger hunt to find the end treasure-- a doll bunkbed for her babies.  She also got a new little dolly and most importantly a PINK WATCH.....  not sure why she wanted this but if you asked her what she wanted for her birthday she would reply, "Pink watch and Minnie Cake" She was one happy girl when she opened her watch up.  Grandma Penny also made a special visit down to say happy birthday to the kids. And of course she came bearing gifts. Norah got a new Sunday dress with new shoes, necklace, bracelet, and little purse. Lincoln got a new toy tractor for digging in the dirt, and a bow and arrow from Rachael and Carlos.  On Norah's birthday we spent it mostly playing with all the fun new toys that had been given to them.  Lincoln got a big airplane from Andrew, and they both got some seed growing kits from Aunt Whitney and Nana and Pops that they loved planting and can't wait to watch to see them grow.
The birthday's were a success and I def. was wore out by the end of the 30th. Love these kiddos and so excited for another year to see how they grow!
