October

The month started with Adam running the St. George Marathon for the 2nd time.  Boy were we glad this day finally arrived. It takes a lot of time and commitment to train--- and although i know it was harder for Adam to do all the training, I sure don't love him being gone running so much. :)  He did amazing with a time of 3:36.   We had fun making our signs and cheering as he ran by. Although he didn't even see us as we were yelling his name.

General Conference as always was wonderful weekend. Lincoln stayed busy coloring the different apostles. He did a pretty good job listening for the most part.

Lincoln still LOVES school and any sort of Project we can come up with.

October was a little rough on Marci. She had some MS flareups come up....  Her right side of her body (starting in her feet and going up through her chest went tingly and numb.  No fun but with modern medications and Steroids she was feeling better.  Ann Romney's book came out about this same time and it was a great read while Marci was sitting there during her steroid infusions.   On the last day of her infusion, her heart rate was going super low.... like 38 and 39.  The nurses there recommended that we go over to the ER just to get checked out to make sure that her heart was okay. After lots of tests, they found all to be well but recommended getting a heart rate monitor to wear for a week.  So she did and the results came back good. Marci still has a low heart rate normally but I think the medication had something to do with making it super low.

Lincoln and Marci were also able to go on a Mommy son date to Tuacahn to watch, 'Disney's When you Wish.'  We had a great time and I think Lincoln was most excited for his Churro.

Norah is quite the little character.... She does what she wants when she wants.  Why not throw off all our clothes while you are eating and toss them on the floor?

 Hot tub fun!

We also took an  evening to go hike the Volcano Cinder Cone hike.  I had never done it so I thought it would fun to do with the kids. Lincoln had just read a book all about volcanoes so he was excited to hike to the top of one. It was a great little hike... windy... and a little steep and slippery going down but the kids had a good time.
We even brought a little picnic to eat at the top.

More October fun included playing in the backyard, Home Depot, playing with cousins (Cade and Blair had a good time together), and Norah has started to enjoy magnatiles as much as the others. :)

Adam and Marci also had the opportunity to go to San Diego for a Sunroc Work Incentive Trip. It was great to get away as a couple and enjoy the warmth- and boy was it warm.   We did some kayaking, speed boat driving, a dinner cruise, and yummy dinner at a nice steakhouse. We love work perks.
