August!

August wasn't too eventful but we seemed to stay plenty busy. We painted using our 'I can draw book."
Lincoln decided he HATES to go to bed at night. He goes down to his room around 830... we would say prayers and read.... then hope that Lincoln would stay downstairs and fall asleep. But he wanted nothing to do with sleeping. He would come upstairs multiple times until we threatened to lock him down there.  It has made for some long nights of begging. I don't know how he doesnt get tired because he really doesn't fall asleep til 11 on some nights.
We were up at Nana and Pop's house. Like usual we tell the kids to go outside and play and they love it. This particular time we didn't know that Whitney had been spray painting something and had left the can out.  Norah found it intriguing and wanted to help out. So spray paint all over was the result. I am just grateful that it didn't get in her eye! And grateful that finger nail polish remover helped it come right off.
Lincoln always love to go to Nana's house and play. Of course we love the pool up there as well. There were lots of HOT days so we tried to go swimming on occasion .

Adam got home from Alaska and had quite the beard... although the kids didn't mind. They couldn't get enough of Adam... he was def. missed while he was gone for the week.

We went to our Home Depot kids craft day and made some cool chalkboards.

Cade has some yummy cereal.. except he didn't think it was so yummy. We tried it multiple times and this kid wanted nothing to do with it!

Lincoln had his friend Cooper over to play. They had a great time playing in the water and squirting Norah.
Adam gave Lincoln a much needed haircut--- A buzz!
We grew watermelons in our garden this summer and they got HUGE!  They turned out ok but were a bit mushy in the middle. Seriously they were bigger than Norah.

August is peach season and we had tons and tons of delicious fresh peaches. We made multiple stops over at the orchard to pick and the kids always loved helping to pick. I have some great peach picker helpers.

We had lots of other fun random fun around these parts.

One of the sundays that Adam was out of town, I took the kids to church on my own.  Let's just say the kids weren't on their best behavior during sacrament.  When it came to nursery time Norah wanted NOTHING to do with going.... I couldn't really fight her to go in by myself and having to take care of Cade as well, it just wasn't going to work to stick around for classes... so we went home and had primary at home! The kids loved it.
