Exploring Kentucky

We were looking forward to the spring and summer months to be able to explore Kentucky a bit.  We really hadn’t gone out to see the many outdoor sites that Kentucky has to offer.  The least we could do on our last week was to go and explore a bit.
-          We first made a stop at the Capital building in Frankfort.
Abraham Lincoln.

-          Daniel Boone’s Gravesite.

-          We drove around University of Kentucky’s campus…. And made sure to get a picture at the Wildcats basketball arena (NCAA National Champions 2012).
-          We also stopped by a random park with horse statues.  They love their horses here.
-          Kentucky really is a Beautiful place. We were lucky enough to have all the trees bud, the grass turn green, and flowers start to pop up all over the place.  One thing we are def. going to miss is the rich green of everything!
Eating at Spinellis Pizza. Delish.
-          We have loved Kentucky.  I will always have a little special place in my heart for it and the people that we met and came to love here.  We always said it would have been perfect if we could have magically transported all of our family to Kentucky instead of us moving to Utah—I guess we can’t have the best of both worlds. J
-          We def. did not get hardly anything knocked off our to-do list.  I guess we will just have to make a trip back in a few years to do those things!
