A hop and a skip to Utah.

Adam and I were pretty spoiled this year when it came to our Holiday Vacation.  Adam finished up with finals on Dec. 17th and because I have a great boss, we were able to fly out to Utah that very night! (There are def. a few perks to student life).
Our first stop was South Jordan, Utah with Adam's family for a couple of weeks.  We had such a great time getting ready for Christmas, hanging with nieces and nephews, visiting Logan, eating lots, watching football and basketball, and had a fun Christmas Eve get together and program with everyone. Adam's Mom and step-dad were the most fabulous hosts as ever. We were all so blessed this Christmas season!
Adam's entire family at our Christmas Eve party! We had a blast.
Here are a few more highlights(with pics) of some of our time in Northern Utah.
1. Visits with some of my best friends ever!
-Thanks Mis for having us over and ladies I loved catching up with you all. So many good memories of our great college days at Utah State.
Me, Melissa, Jenni, and Sabrina (Laurie missing from picture)
-Going to Heritage Park with Erica and Nick.  Man I wish we could somehow live next door to you two.  My life would then be complete. haha.
On the Heritage Park Wagon Train
-We were also able to visit with quite a few of Adam's friends.... and got together for Iowa's Bowl Game.  Good to see Brian and Tamara, Dallin, Garrit(and family), Jamie, Mike Russell(and family), and I know I am missing a few... Adam always looks forward to seeing all his high school and college buddies whenever we are back in Utah.  Glad they put up with Adam all those years.
-One of Adam's best friends is a firefighter so we decided to take a couple of our nephews to tour the fire station.  Although it is meant for kids, even I thought it was interesting and enjoyed learning all about what goes on behind the scenes.

Our next stop was St. George to hang out with my family for a few weeks.  We had the plan of meeting them all up in Brianhead but because of the horrible snowstorm and freezing temperatures, we all decided it would be better to just head straight to St. George instead of getting stuck on the mountain in the storm.  The next day wasn't as bad so some of us headed up to enjoy the condo, lots and lots of snow, and freezing temperatures.  It was beautiful with all the fresh snow. I am usually very excited to go snowboarding but I think I was glad that I had an excuse this year to stay in the condo and stay warm.  Adam did venture out to the slopes for a half day... but after a few hours one of the lift operators told him he needed to go in and warm up because his nose was getting signs of frostbite.  He said he had a great time though.  These are the only two pics I got while we were in Brianhead.
Henry, Tim, and Dad- Henry wanted to go outside and play in the snow.... but it didn't last too many minutes before he was ready to go back where it was warm.

We spent the night and then headed back to a slightly warmer St. George.  While we were there we got snow twice.  Once it even lasted through the day and there was even enough snow to play in.  We had a pretty relaxing New Years.... spending time with one of Adam's co-workers family and then just relaxing with family.  I look back on 2010 and realize that it was and amazing year where we received so many blessings.  May we make 2011 even better than the last.
