I guess I better post.

I was informed today by a friend (thanks Jenni) that I haven't posted in a month. Shame on me.
I guess when it is sunny outside and there seems to be a million things to do- posting on here seems like the last thing in the world to do-- not because the last month has been uneventful.  In fact it has been pretty great.  A quick recap of the last few weeks.

*I went back to St. George to attend family reunions and meetings.  We had our annual Barton family shindig up at the Dirt Farm. I was only able to be there for a day but it was long enough to remind me how awesome my family is.  The day wouldn't have been complete without:
Horseshoe tournament.
FOOD.
family.
Dirt.
SUNSHINE--- dry heat.
food.
family gossip.
dutch-oven goods.
AWESOMENESS.
Also hung out with one of my very best friends ever- Becky. We were literally in nursery together and spent the good portion of our growing up years together. I always LOVE getting together and talking about all the good times. Man I wish I lived within driving distance to her. Isn't it great to have such amazing friends that you can always count on.  The rest of my time in St. George was spent at Family Business meetings. Always interesting. Although not the most Exciting. Adam had to stay in Iowa and work like a responsible adult so it was good to go back and have him miss me a bit.
*Adam's Mom also came back here to Iowa to visit us, her family, and to work on Family History.  We always love having her here with us... She is one of the most caring and sweet ladies I know.  she is ALWAYS servings others. I'm def. lucky to have her as my mother-in-law.
*I made my appearance at my first family reunion that wasn't my own...  Adam was born in Iowa so needless to say he has A LOT of family still in this area. The Weber(adam's mom side) reunion picnic was last Sat. I met many many new relatives. What a great family as well! It's been fun getting to know a bit about Adam's family while being back here in Iowa.
*We've been trying to make our little apartment feel a bit more homey.  After almost a year of living here without curtains on our windows(ya I know we were ghetto) we now have curtains... and some cute throw pillows along with a few other random things. What a difference such little additions make to our place. Still nothing gorgeous and fancy but it's starting to feel like our little home.
* Been working a lot. Adam is enjoying (for the most part) his job.  He is involved with managing construction projects on the University of Iowa's campus.  I am still watching the same 3 kids every day. I can now understand why moms are excited when school starts up again. Luckily I usually don't have all three kids to entertain all day long.... but trying to keep kids entertained day after day isn't easy.

That's about it. Life is good.
--Sorry about the lack of pictures. We are going to St. Louis this weekend so maybe we'll snap a few.
