puRa VidA . . . coStA riCa

There are many, many benefits to being single... one being that you can pick up your things at a moments notice, not have to worry about consulting with anyone, and run off to the tops of the rainforest and tropical beaches of COSTA RICA with friends. It was awesome... in every way. Some of my favorite moments and adventures where:
1. The drive up and back from Monte Verde... needless to say this road(if you can even call it that) was nothing but rock and dirt. Good thing they require your rental vehicle to be 4 wheel drive. The ride down may have been our first and only argument between us all.... I will blame it on being hungry. :) 2. The Canopy Tours through the rainforest in Monte Verde. We were literally hundreds of feet off the ground, on zip lines going up to 50 mph, zipping through the clouds and trees. It was amazing... highly recommended to anyone. It was beautiful, green, and RAINY. Lets just say that we did not come prepared... who knew it rained so much in the RAINforest.. haha. NExt time I will be sure to pack a raincoat. I also loved that Jo was always the last to go on the zip line because she wanted alone time with ALma... or guide. 3. The condo we stayed at in Playa Tamarindo, or more specifically the shower at our condo. Pretty much the most amazing shower ever. I felt like I was showering in the middle of the rainforest... in the comforts of our condo. 4. The juices at all the restaurants and the fruit smoothies at "Mandarinas." Banana-Blackberry was my fave. 5. The beach: whether relaxing, boogie boarding, taking pictures, playing charades, laying out, watching emily and robin surf, or hanging with the locals. I am definately a beach bum at heart. Our night excursion to the beach may have been one of my faves... LEts just say it wasnt the smartest thing... and you may end up with your green shorts not so green. 7. Driving to the market in the middle of a mini hurricane. The dirt roads were literal rivers. Huge trees were down, cars were stuck, and Jo lost her Chaco. Sad day... but def an adventure. 8. Last but not least was that I loved spending time with my friends! Blair thanks so so much for setting it all up and inviting me along. I owe you all for such a good time! Cant wait to do it again. Oh man, it was almost painful re-living it all simply because I miss it so much!

Costa Rica looks so fun. Our goal is to go next year so I may be in touch for more details. I love all the fun your having.

isn't costa rica a-maze-ing! If I were the type of person to use "text talk" i would use it right now and say "OMG!" Really though, I went there last December for a month and it took my breath away. I'm also fairly positive that I did the exact same canopy tour in Monteverde, which is the bomb. Glad you went, what an amazing place!!! Pura vida!
