December- Pre Christmas Fun!

Gingerbread houses. This year we went the easy way out and bought a premade kit that had 4 little houses in it.  It was sure nice to have everything there.. and the kids loved it!  Plus they turned out great.

We also made it to the temple to  check out the nativity and the lights.  Always a favorite of the kids. They loved running up the temple steps and running to see what lights were next.

Next we headed to the Boulevard to have a visit with Santa. The kids always love the car carts... and surprisingly all the kids did great for Santa... Not huge smiles--- norah was a little hesitant but NO TEARS. haha.

Every day is a battle when Mom has to take the 3 kids somewhere by herself.  Cade had his 9 month appt and for the most part the kids did decent.  Although Lincoln and Norah also got Flu shots and that was an adventure in itself. Norah did great but Lincoln wanted NOTHING to do with it.  He was screaming and hiding and not letting me or the nurse assistant get any where near him. Finally with three of us adults, me holding his upper body, another nurse assistant holding his lower half, and the the other one giving the shot we were able to get it done. Lincoln is one strong little dude when he wants to be. Seriously we could barely keep him down.   Anyway on the way out to the car, I guess the kids had had enough cause they just decided to lie down.....  I am lugging Cade around so it is hard to get them as well. Oh the joys of 3 littles. :)
Another big event was that Norah moved into her bed---- downstairs with Lincoln in his room.  She did pretty well, although her and Lincoln just like to play at night.  So we realized that if we can get Norah to sleep first, and then Lincoln go down once she is asleep things go much better. Plus Cade is out of our room and he is in his own room in the crib!  He is sleeping much better, which means Mom and Dad are sleeping much better. Yay!
Cade always wants to be a part of everything the bigger kids are doing, although he isn't always welcome.  He was quite the little Baby Godzilla  coming to destroy their little town and roads they had created.

Cade 9 Months

-Still doing lots of army crawling. Is super fast and can get wherever he wants to go.
-He is the happiest, loves to laugh and be tickled.
-He loves any attention he can get from Lincoln and Norah.
-Will try and pull himself up to standing on short things. Will stand against the furniture if you stand him up.
-Got his first teeth. Two on the bottom.
-Still hates eating and being fed any type of baby food on a spoon. Will swat it away with his hands and spit it out if you are able to get any in his mouth. Will eat real foods super super super messy.
-Still likes to wake up at night and cry!  Does not like his mom or dad to get any sleep.
-Will still take two good naps during the day - still sleeping in the pack and play and mom and dads room.
-Is a super chill baby and usually just goes with the flow. We love our Caders!

Butterfield Christmas

We had our Christmas party with the Butterfields the weekends of the 12th.  We love cousin time and the nativity and talent show are always a favorite.  Lincoln loved being Joseph.  Norah was a shepherd that adored the baby Jesus.  Cade was a good sport and played Jesus. He is about as big as Olivia (who played Mary) so that was cute!  haha.  The kids did great. Boston and Norah sang and played bells to Jingle Bells. Boston was def. the life of the show and such a cutie. Norah was a great sidekick as she shook her bells and mumbled a few 'jingle bells.' haha.  We had present exchange where the kids got hooked up as always.  Lincoln got a light saber and a set of 4 cars. Norah got an Elsa doll and a little barbie.  Cade received a little musical turtle and remote control airplane/shape sorter. The adults theme was BBQ-- so we ended up with a hot dog cooker stand.  haha.  Good times.  We decided the quickest and easiest way to give Cade a bath was in the sink. He didn't seem to mind one bit. :)

After church, Lincoln wanted us all to try and squeeze on the little couch.  So we tried---and fit. Someone noticed and offered to take a picture. haha . Love all these people.

Family Pictures Snow Canyon

We had our Family pictures taken in late November.  Although Norah was quite a stinker when it came to smiling for family pics  (Seriously in every single family picture she was not smiling.... Just more memories that show us what her true personality is--- not stubborn at all right? haha). Overall they turned out great.
