Easter Weekend.

We started off our Easter celebrations on Friday with the Wittwer's out at a park near Coral Canyon.  It was a perfect evening-- Lincoln liked the egg hunt and playing on the playground but especially LOVED the cotton candy!
The next morning (Sat. the 30th) we went up to the Santa Clara Park for the annual egg(candy) hunt. This is the Hunt that I went to every  year growing up as a kid.  We loved it-- Lincoln was equally excited as he looked out to see the thousands of little candies scattered all over the grass.
When they first said Go I think he was a little overwhelmed.  He was just walking around looking at all the candy.  Once he realized what to do he couldn't get enough and got a basket full of goodies- and he even got a prize egg(which he was happy to get a little bucket and shovel).

Our next stop was an Easter Picnic up in the Red Rocks with the Bartons.  It was a HOT HOT day--- and as you can tell from the picture I do not look to comfortable.  haha. When we first got up there I was feeling fine--- but after about a hour and a half into it I started feeling not so good. So we decided to head out early and so glad we did because as I was walking back to our car, contractions started getting pretty painful. If only I knew that little Norah would join us 5 hours later.  :)  Entire story to come!
My Grandpa and Grandma with some of their posterity behind them-- I love My Grandparents!

March Happenings.

March is my favorite month for many reasons--- 1- the weather here in Santa Clara being so perfect. 2- spring flowers arrive 3- my birthday and Lincoln's birthdays 4- and this year I was excited for March because the end of my pregnancy was here!
Here is what we were up to:
Making goofy faces
Getting ready for Baseball season- Go Sox
Carousel Rides
a short Attempt at potty Training. Fail. :)
Walking to church
Being cute.
Watching NCAA National Wrestling and wrestling with Dad.

Lincoln found his own car in the church parking lot.

Bubble Birthday! Lincoln Turns 2

Although Lincoln's birthday is on the 29th.... because that weekend was Easter and there was lots going on (and I thought MAYBE I would have my baby), I wanted to make sure that Lincoln got his own birthday celebration.  So because Lincoln is obsessed with Bubbles and every time he sees a bottle of bubbles he wines til we do them, I decided to have a Bubble Party for him the weekend before.
We invited cousins over and did all things Bubbles!  I think all the kids loved it-- at least Lincoln did and that is what matters right?! We also tried out our bounce house for the first time and it was a hit.  It is so fun to have one and to be able to access one anytime we want!
We had all sorts of bubble contraptions-  bubble wands, bubble swords, bubble snakes, regular bubbles, colored bubbles, and Lincoln got gifts of a Bubble Lawn Mower and a Bubble gun.
We also made Lava Lamps and watched the bubbles go up and down and played Bubble Wrap Cake walk. It was a perfect sunny day with just enough wind to make the bubbles go all over.
This is my attempt of coming up with a bubble themed cake...
Yes those little balloons on top are supposed to represent bubbles. :)

We love our little man and love the little busy, spunky, chatterer boy that Lincoln is.

Snow Canyon State Park

We have made a goal to try and get out and see more of our "backyard."  There are so many beautiful and amazing things to do and see here in Southern Utah that we often don't take the time to do.  So we took a little afternoon hike around Snow Canyon. The morning was beautiful but of course as soon as we decided to go it got cloudy and windy--- so it was a little chilly but still beautiful and fun to explore the mountains that literally are our background.

Laura and Jeremy came down to Santa Clara to visit for a few days.  We had a blast with them and loved having them here. We mostly just hung out and relaxed but we did make another trip to Snow Canyon.

This IS our EVERYDAY- February

Lincoln and I mostly just hang out at home on most days-- because the weather has been SO NICE this February we have tried to venture outside a bit.  Lincoln would spend all day outside if I let him.  He will stand at the window and just say 'outside, outside.'  It would sure be nice if we had a fenced in back yard to let him just play-- instead we live on a super busy street so I have to keep my eye on him very closely.
-Going to get the mail. He loves walking around the planters.
-Exploring and climbing the neighbors fences.
 - Always wants to swing on our old tire swings.
 - Up with the horses. He loves to see them but doesn't like to get too close.

-We've started accumulating little girl stuff around here.  He insisted on putting on the bow--- I told him he was cute. Now whenever he sees anything that is for his little sister that is girly or pink for his little sister he says 'Cute' over and over again- it really is cute.
We love our visits with Nana and Pops. We love that they live just a 2 minute drive away.  We also love that they are willing to babysit!
Lincoln had a week that he just didn't feel good.  Not sure what it was, but it wasn't fun. Lincoln was not his happy little busy self and instead wanted to just lie there- that never happens.
-He still Loves bathtime and his bubbles.
We had a great chill Valentines Day. I was spoiled and Adam made me Breakfast in bed- all fancied up with heart shaped pancakes, strawberries, grapefruit, and homemade strawberry syrup. I love that man.
-Lincoln Loves to sit on the counter by me while I am making dinner- which he is doing here.
-Lincoln thinks he is king of the road and tries to sneak to the driver's seat as often has he can.
-Breakfast time: always consisting of crazy bed head hair.
 - He loves his bath but DOES NOT like getting dressed. He would rather play naked in his room.
-We bought him some underwear just to have in case I get motivated to try and start potty training him.... Here he wanted to try them on!  Man he looks all grown up.
He he started to enjoy playing with other kids more-- he and Channing are going to be the best of buddies!
Adam had to check out a project in Page, Arizona so they stopped and took some pics!
..... and lastly my little Sister Whitney got her Mission call. Yay!  So excited and proud of her. She will be a fabulous missionary.
 - She was called to the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission:  which consists of these seven states.  Wow! Dress warm Whit! She leaves on May 15th. We can't wait to hear about all her great times and adventures.
