PV with the Butterfields.

We had our annual Butterfield get together in Pine Valley up at the cabins and had a blast.  We got up there Friday afternoon--- played and hung out friday and then made sure to have smores Friday night.

We had a great time just talking, catching up, and the cousins especially loved all the play time they got together.
Boston, Lincoln, and Christian.

Sat. morning the bigger boys went to the shooting range and did some shooting.  Cade and Norah wanted to go on the rhino and go check out what they were doing.

These two had so much fun that the rhino put them right to sleep!

Sat. afternoon we went down to Veyo to go swimming and to catch some crawdads in the canyon.
Of course the kids loved every second of it... It started raining on us so we got good and muddy.

Sat night we had Veyo pies and some yummy doughboys.  A favorite for sure.
Roy and Diane are building their cabin right now so the kids went and played on some of the equipment.

Sunday we went over to church. It being a busy holiday weekend we sat outside for Sacrament meeting because it was so packed.  The lawn we filled with people. It was a great meeting.
This is Cade with cousin CJ Neilson.

Barton Reunion- Dirt Farm

Another year, another year of dirt farm fun and getting dirty. We were the only ones from the Wittwer side that went up there so although it was a little quiet on our little side of camp, there were plenty of kids for the our kids to play with and have fun.
Of course at the dirt farm you get plenty d irty.  Lincoln, Wyatt, and Zhao were sliding down this hill.  Now you understand how they are covered from head to toe in dirt.
Lincoln also loved collecting 'garbage and junk' that was left around.  The kids built different forts and  clubhouses with all the old metal, wood, and other goodies they found.
Cade didn't mind the dogs that were there and wanted to be best friends with them.

Norah made a new 'best friend' Lily Gardner. It was fun to see her playing with another little girl her age... cause she is usually with the boys or older/younger girls.
The races of course were a favorite.  Here are the 4 year olds.
 and the 6 year olds.
Cade was a great spectator as well as participating a few times in any race he decided to join. ;)

We had the usual water balloon toss and other relay games.

It was a great weekend with extended family, the kids loved sleeping in the tent, and it is always fun to rekindle relationships and get to know a little more about our family history.

4th of July weekend we headed up to South Jordan and then up to Logan for some festivities.
On the actual 4th we were in Logan and stayed at Brian and Julies for a night and went to one of the parades there. It was super HOT but the kids got a ton of candy so they didn't complain.

That night we went to a park and watched the fireworks that were shot from the stadium.  Always love cousin time.
Sunday we hung out with Grandma and Grandpa....popsicles, and Grandma was watching Sophie (Rachael and Carlos' dog) so pretty much Norah started out deathly afraid of her and wouldn't go near her, but then she somewhat warmed up to her but still wouldn't touch her.  Cade of course loved her and Lincoln was ok.

That night we did some sparklers!

 A fun fourth weekend getaway!
