September

September we it a few more pool days in before it got too cold.  The kids have improved so so so much over the summer. Lincoln is pretty much a pro and I feel comfortable with him going anywhere. He now needs to learn some strokes, technique, and diving.  Norah got brave over the last month and decided she could swim all on her own, without a life jacket or floaties... as long as Mom and Dad are near.  Cade is as crazy in the pool as ever. We always make sure he has his floaties on, but we had been taking them off a little to try and teach him how to swim without them.  He actually did pretty good and would try to kick and use  his arms a little.  He is one little brave fishy.  Dad doesnt swim with us as often because we usually swim in the day, but when he does it is much more fun!!  He has much more energy than Mom!! The kids love it.

Norah and Cade wanted to try the pool once last time at the end of the month.  Let's just say it was a a little chilly. Cade swam for about 10 minutes and Norah was done after about 5. I think they spent more time out of the pool than in it.  It was too cold for Mom.

Here are some pics of other random happenings through the month.  Norah is always sleeping in weird ways. I don't think she ever just lies in her bed nice and straight.

We celebrated Dad's 38ths birthday. We had a picnic out on the deck and then had ice cream cake.  Adam wasn't feeling too great but we tried to let him know how much we love him and appreciate all he does.

Ry, Jack, Channing, and Blair came over one evening to be babysat and the kids had a fun time playing out in the backyard dirt pretending to plant a garden (with sunflower seeds).  We love cousin time and all of our cousins.

Cade found a cold hot dog in the fridge and thought it was delicious.
Adam had a Sunroc meetings in Park City.  They invited the spouses to come up and enjoy in some festivities. We got to go to the Winter Olympic Park and do all the activities. Being pregnant, MArci wasn't able to do hardly anything, and it was rainy so some of the things were closed, but Adam did get to go down the Bobsled and said it was awesome.  Marci made sure to do the ropes course and did the entire thing 7 months prego.  It was a lot of fun. We also got to see some people practiving ski jumping and snowboarding. Overall it was a fun little getaway!  The kids stayed with Grandma Penny and loved every minute of being spoiled with treats, chocolate milk, tv, and fun!

Trying on Dad's safety work gear.
Cade thought it would be funny for no reason whatsoever to push the office chair down the stairs.  Yes it broke.  At least he wasn't sitting on it when it went down. Sometimes I wonder what is going through this kid's head.
Lincoln and Mom went on a quick little date to our favorite Ice Cream place Zeppes!
Lincoln found my old Spirograph toy and loved trying to make all the cool designs.  It kept them entertained for a few hours.

We had a great time at Swiss Days this year. We always look forward to it and like to try and hit all the festivities.  The kids love the Pioneer activities that are down at the church--- Cade did the train as many times as he could.

The climbing wall was free so even Norah gave it a try. Lincoln did awesome at it and made it all the way to the top on his first try. Norah liked it and made it up a little bit.

We also signed up to do the 5k... So Mom pushed Norah and Cade about 2/3 of the way... we were not fast at all but we did it... and Dad ran with Lincoln a little way in front of us.  The stroller caught up with the boys so Adam took over pushing it and finished ahead of Lincoln and Mom.  We all had a good time and Norah got 2nd place in her age group (4 and under) and she didn't run one little bit of it. haha.  Thanks stroller.
