Adam went on a Guys Fishing trip up to Newport, Oregon. He drove to Northern Utah, picked up Mike, and then continued their drive up to Oregon to meet up with his buddy Jared Weed, and Jared's Dad who is the captain of a fishing boat up there. They had timed their trip nicely to correlate with the Solar Eclipse and were able to be somewhere in IDaho I think where they were on the path of totality and were able to witness the entire sun being covered by the moon. He said it was amazing and a cool experience for sure. They made it to the coast and had a great few days catching a lot of Tuna, some Salmon, and crab! He brought home lots and lots of fish so I'd call it a huge success. He is already wanting to plan another fishing trip!
While Dad was enjoying the coolness of the totality, we were enjoying cloudy skies---- and were thinking we wouldn't even see any part of the eclipse because of the clouds. Luckily right at the peak the clouds parted just a little and we were able to pull out our glasses, and even though we were only at about 80% we still thought it was cool. Lincoln got to go out with his class and look at it to.
