April

Easter was the first weekend of April and we did lots to celebrate!
The Wittwer Easter Picnic was held at the Gubler Park here in Santa Clara.  Norah and Lincoln had a great time finding the eggs.

We headed up to the Red Hills for the Barton Easter Picnic.  Lincoln was finally old enough to start exploring and climbing on his own. There were a few times where he got stuck and needed some help but overall he did great and loved it all. They collected the eggs and  got them ready to roll down the red mountain. Lincoln thought that it would be better instead of just letting them roll down the mountain that he would take them out one by one and throw them at the older kids that were against the mountain below.

It was about a week late but we finally got around to coloring Easter Eggs!

One Friday evening we decided to check out the Temple Quarry Trail that is located on the black hill.  It as a great little hike just perfect for little kids. I think Cade enjoyed his first hike and time in the baby carrier with Dad!

We ventured up to Pine Valley for the annual Wittwer Cleanup.  The big project was putting up a fence down in the field so we can keep the horses contained on one side of the road if needed.  Adam worked hard on the tractor digging the holes while others worked hard at the fence.  They also burned the big piles of branches that were in the field.  It was cold and windy so Marci, Cade, and Norah mostly stayed inside the cabin.

Lincoln is at the age that he says so many funny and clever things. He keeps us laughing every day. Here is one example.
Lincoln came into me while I was feeding Cade and said, "here are some stuffed shoe pies- they are cheesetastic!"  He had put all the toppings from his pizza game in Norahs shoes. He's such a cheese ball.
The kids still love the magnatiles and love to create new castles and towers.  Lincoln is also a man of symmetry. He likes to make different designs with the tiles on the stove and they are always exactly symmetrical. Smart kid.

Lincoln is quite the sleeper... he moves and moves and wiggles and wiggles.... and getting him to fall asleep has been a nightmare lately.  Him and Norah being in the same room, they just play and play and chatter forever before they fall asleep. It has not been fun at all.  We arent ever sure where we are going to find Lincoln asleep.
It is always entertaining to watch the two of them on the video monitor in their room.  Usually Lincoln is climbing on something or doing headstands or in Norah's crib with her. Oh the joys of  a shared bedroom.

We have lots of pecans and Norah loves them.  She tries to crack them but usually she just ends of eating them as fast as we can crack them for her.

Cade's favorite pose it when he has one arm bent in and the other extended out. We call it his superhero pose and he does it all the time!
Cade's first day of church.. he was a trooper!
Lincoln asks to make cookies pretty much everyday. The kicker is that you never know what kind he is going to ask for. Examples are LEmon, Orange Juice, apple, Avocado--- we usually then go to pinterest and find something that is close and make them.  It is fun, I love to bake, and I love to see his joy in baking with me but I am pretty sure that is why I cant lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight.
Norah has def. taken an interest in potty training. She always wants to go but this mama just isn't quite ready to commit to potty training yet... the time will come soon enough!
Going to the store with 3 kids is quite the chore--- but I bought this little shopping cart hammock that cade sits in that makes it manageable.  No more bulky carseat taking up the whole cart!

Lincoln and Norah always love playing at Nanas.
Norah's hair was finally long enough to put in a little pony!  Cutest little curl around. Too bad it doesnt stay in for very long!
Lincoln and Norah have been quite the little troublemakers together lately! Lets just say they know how to make a mess.  This was just one of the messes they made over at my computer desk.  At least it helped me get rid of some stuff and organize when I was putting it away!  They then got into the game closet.  Mom was not happy!

Lincoln LOVES watering plants and all things to do with the outside.
Lincoln and Channing realized that they could climb under the trampoline together-- little troublemakers have a great time together.

Nana had her birthday and all the grandkids there had to help her blow her candles!
This month Lincoln learned how to ride his big boy bike!  He started out with training wheels but those only lasted a day and he had it down.

We fed Pudge everyday while Nana and Pops were in Texas visiting the Thorleys.  She is getting old and the poor things back leg was so bad she didnt even want to walk on it.  We would take her food out to her so she would eat.
