Day 1:
We made it to Seattle and had a whole day planned in front of us. In the morning we started off at "Downtown Seattle Center." We walked around the Space Needle (we were too cheap to go to the top-- I had been to the top and we figured to kids wouldnt remember it anyway). We then found thhe fun Fountain! Lincoln loved it. He would have played in and around it all day. Although he never wanted to get wet. Just run around and avoid all the water.
Next we headed to the Public Market and Pikes Place. We checked out all the fun little stores and shops.
At the market Lincoln gave the performer a dollar and in return got a song and a balloon animal. He loved it.
Around lunchtime we met up with Jared Weed and his family at the Bainbridge Ferry. We hopped aboard and took the short boat ride over to Bainbridge Island. It was fun to see Seattle skyline and the boys Loved the boat. Lincoln had a great time with all his new friends-- especially Hudson.
Once we got over to the island we ate a Mexican Food place. Then boarded back on the ferry and headed back to the mainland. We made another stop at the arcade and carousel before we had to make our way over to Safeco Field for the Red Sox vs. Mariner Baseball game that night.
Our family at the baseball game.... and of course we were standing right in front of a big sign that said welcome to Safeco Field, but when you have a stranger take your picture you never get what you anticipate.
Jared and his two older boys came to the game with us. Lincoln was happy with the cotton candy.
Norah did awesome and it was perfect that the stroller fit perfect in the aisle. It kept her contained!
We love baseball. Too bad the Red Sox didnt show up to play. They got slaughtered by the Mariners.
After the game the Weeds were nice enough to let us stay with them at their house for a few nights. Norah enjoying her night sleep and Lincoln thought that she needed Curious George to keep her company.
In the morning, the Weeds took us to a fun little amusement park called "Remlinger Farms." It was perfect for kids about 10 and under. Lincoln loved all the rides and Norah enjoyed exploring and being able to do some of the rides.
Norah loved the little tide pool canoes. The best part was there was no line for anything so they could stay on pretty much as long as they wanted.
Lincoln thought he was cool being able to do it himself. Next up the train--- Lincoln had to get a picture with the conductor.
Hudson, Tanner, Campbell, and Lincoln. Best Buddies!
Dont forget the girls. Marci, Norah, and Kelsie.
There were lots of tractors to play on. He wanted to sit on the one that was like Pops'.
Playing on an old fire engine.
A mini carousel for the littles.
Adam liked that he got to go on some rides as well. The flying pumpkin and a rollercoaster.
We got to ride in cars sort of like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland... but not so wild.
After all the fun we went inside and got ice cream and played on the train inside. We had a great time and would def. go back to Remlinger Farms.
On our way back to the weeds house, we stopped and got some fresh cherries and then stopped at Snoqualamie Falls. It was huge and gorgeous. Adam snatched Kelsie for the picture.
We then got back to the Weeds and they made us some yummy fajitas and the kids played in their backyard. It was great to visit with them.
Day 3: Our last day we packed up from the Weeds and headed to explore a little more of the Seattle area before our plane left that afternoon. We first stopped by the Ballard Locks. It is located where the Puget Sound and Lake Union meet. One is salt water and one is fresh and their water levels are different. They basically have built a boat elevator and its fun to watch! We sat and watched many boats being lowered. It was windy!
We then headed to GreenLake and got some fish and chips at SPUDS, We played on the playground, enjoyed feeding the ducks, made one last stop at Pikes Place, and then headed to the airport so we could catch our flight back to Vegas!
We loved every thing about this trip. We were able to see some really neat things and the weather was PERFECT for us. The only time we even saw rain drops was after the baseball game on our way back to the Weeds.
