Lincoln at 18 months.

I just love my little guy--- Lincoln makes me laugh, smile, and appreciate life every single day!  Here is a little update on his latest.
-He has the best little kisser around. You ask for a kiss and you get it! So sweet.
-He isn't always so sweet though. He has learned how to hit.... which means he has started going to time out.
-He is awesome at folding his arms. If you put food in front of him he will fold his arms and get ready for the prayer. Most of the time he does not keep them folded the whole time and he still hasn't caught onto saying amen.
-He climbs up, on, and over everything- whether the couches, chairs, toys, people- anything. You name it he wants to figure out how to climb it.
-Loves(is an understatement) Fruit!  It doesn't really matter what it is. Grapes, bananas, apricots, pomegranates, apples(although he really only likes these if he is the one biting it off the core).
-Not a huge fan of veggies.  Once in awhile if we are lucky we can sneak them in.  Also still isn't a big meat fan.  Will eat it when it is casseroles or different dishes, but won't eat chicken, hot dogs, beef, or really anything if it is on its on.
-Inherited his sweet tooth from his Mom. Loves candy- or really any sweet that he sees!
-He has the best hearing- I swear this kid has ninja ears.  Every little noise he can pick up on. There is no sneaking around him.
-Is getting so smart. It amazes me what kids pick up on. I can pretty much ask him anything and he will do what I asked. Is understanding pretty much everything.
-Is starting to say words that you can actually understand- although they are still the basics.  We have a long way to go in the speaking department.
-Uses the sign for 'more' for just about everything. If he wants to eat more, have more of something, play with something, or basically just if he wants something he does the more sign.
-He wants to be part of everything I am doing when cooking. Wants to sit up on the counter and 'help' me.
-He has started to really enjoy books. Before he would look at them for about 10 seconds but now he is letting us read him whole books to him and he will go in his room and sit there reading them on his own.
-He would be outside all day if he could. I hate that we don't have a fenced yard..
-Went to nursery for the first time and LOVED it. Dropped him off and he never looked back and when we went to get him he didn't want to leave.  I guess toys and treats are better than parents. We have sure loved being able to pay attention in church again!
-He is one fast runner.
-He gets so excited when he hears the door open when Adam comes home from work. He runs to the door but as soon as he sees him he turns around and runs off- the little tease.
-Still our little blondie- and he still hasn't ever gotten a haircut. We did do a little trim of some stray hairs around his ears but that is it!
-He makes the cutest sounds and noises.
-He has learned to throw quite a tantrum. I am good at ignoring them. :)
-Is getting good and identifying and making sounds for animals and other objects when we ask him to point to them in a book.
-He is still a great sleeper.  He goes to bed around 830pm and wakes up around 8 am.  He naps usually for about 3 hours from 1:30- to about 4:30.. and if I am luck he will sleep longer. I love it!
-Loves playing with cars, balls, and anything that makes an annoying noise.

WE LOVE OUR BUSY, BUSY HAPPY LITTLE 18 MONTH OLD. NEVER A DULL MOMENT AROUND HERE.

Man, I wish I was there to get a kiss from the little man! Isn't it great when they're old enough for nursery, and it's especially nice when they actually like going! Glad you guys are doing good, can't wait for Christmas. I want to play with all my little nephews!

He is so cute and sounds like he is ALL boy! Awesome that he did so well for nursery. I have a hard time sitting still in church now without kid distraction :-)

Oh what a little angel! Melaina and Lincoln are so similar. It's amazing how fast they learn how to throw a tantrum! (: One of these days we need to get together! It's been too long.
