Nothing more American...

We had a great week!  We have been busy and it seems like the week just flew by.  Adam has still been busy at work and I have been busy trying to keep up with all the fresh produce that we have an abundance of. First I picked a ton of apricots at the church farm--- plus had a bunch from our orchard so I got busy making apricot syrup, then canned a few bottles, and then made some fruit leather. It all takes time but I love the result and having yummy stuff later on.  I now appreciate all the bottled foods my mom did over the years.  My Mom has also been out of town this week visiting my sister in Virginia(yay for a new little nephew, Isaac). Since she has been gone I have been taking care of the garden and all the veggies-- we have had so much great, fresh, free produce--- We also have a ton of grape vines at our house and Lincoln LOVES going up and just picking them off and eating.  This week they started to get ripe so we picked a bunch and I just keep them in a big bowl in the fridge. If the fridge is open Lincoln is there in no time grabbing a handful of the grapes. We caught him red-handed here -
We had a great 4th of July as well. In the morning we took the Rhino out exploring a bit. Lincoln loved chilling in the back. I love St. George Beauty.

Later on the 4th we headed up to Nana and Pop's house for a family BBQ then did some sparklers.

On Thursday night we went with our great friends the Stoddards to the Gunlock Rodeo. So fun!  Lincoln loved to see all the animals. This is the only picture we took--- him with the chickens.
Friday I was able to meet up with 3 of my favorite people in Zion and go hiking!  There needs to be a post all alone for that one-- it will come next! I do want to put one picture in here. Adam and Lincoln met us up there in the evening to go to Dinner. Blair, Jo, and Esther hadn't ever met Lincoln but pretty sure Lincoln has a crush on each of them after hanging with them.
Here is Auntie Jo with Lincoln at dinner. Love you Jo!

Here are a couple more pictures of Lincoln this week.
this may be my favorite. He HATES getting in his carseat or having to stay in it for very long.  So Adam snapped this picture of him freaking out while they were waiting for me as I ran inside the grocery store to get some milk.  Love his mad face- he was not happy!
Lincoln has conquered climbing into and up onto everything. He is as busy and cheesy as ever! Man I love that smile.
