Freedom...

Adam and I were talking last night about how chill, relaxing, and pretty much carefree our lives are at the current moment.  His school semester is pretty low key, I only work ~3 hours a day, and other than the stress and time that Adam has in his job search, we mostly just hang out, have been watching a lot of basketball and wrestling, really with no worries and few responsibilities. We really are enjoying every minute because we know that these times are not going to last long-- and our lives may never be quite like this ever again.  We have LOVED the past {almost} 2 years that we have been married and the time that we have had together- out here in Iowa, without any children or many distractions to grow stronger as a couple. It hasn't always been perfect but the time that we have had to spend together has made our love grow stronger.  Def. a bonus to living away from family. You really have to learn to depend on each other! What a great blessing and fun adventure it has been.
With that said, we are more than excited for the new change and new adventure in our life.  I think that we are as ready as we can be for our little guy... def. don't know what we are getting ourselves into but ecstatic all the same.  There are still moments of me freaking out, realizing that I am no longer going to have all the freedom that I have and that I will have a little someone depending on us for everything. The time is getting so close.  Due date is less than 3 weeks away... crazy that the time is almost here. The pregnancy is still going great- not too many complaints. It still amazes me every day to think what a miracle process pregnancy is.  I haven't posted a picture in a few weeks. Here I am last week-- at 36 weeks.
Oh and some fabulous ladies from my ward threw me a baby shower.  It was perfect and thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with me.  Here are a few pictures at the shower.
Katie, Angela(amazing hostess), and Robyn
Tawnya, Lindsay, Chelsea, Abby, and Mary
Erin, Jennifer, and Haley
 Erica, Lynette, and Rachel
I didn't get a picture of the other amazing hostess Sara-- but thanks for hosting it at your house and taking charge of everything! Thanks a million to everyone for the support, gifts, and words of advice!

Can I also say that I have loved Iowa and the weather that it has thrown at us this year. Winter was a almost a dream.... ya we def. had some bitter cold times but overall it was great and not near as bad as the previous year.  Especially now that Spring is arriving I am enjoying it all!

So excited for you. And ya...enjoy the freedom. I would love to have some of that, but it no longer exists!! BTW...is Robyn from St. George? She looks like the daughter of one of my neighbors (Tietjen by chance?) Anyway, good luck!

Hallelujah for only 3 more weeks of maternity clothes! (That's what I think at least but I have 6 more-I think) Do you have a name for your little guy yet? Who knew, that would be the hardest thing...okay so far that is. I think our little guy is going to be "little guy" forever!

MAN! I am so sad I missed the shower! Sorry!
Looking back I am so grateful that Derek and I had just over 3 years of married bliss before Eamon was born. At the time I hated my infertility but I see it as a blessing I never wanted. It was a great 3 years. THankfully, it really does get better after the baby is born. Trust me. You'll love Adam even more watching him play and wrestle with your little man. It's such a great sight.

I'm sorry for your loss of freedom too. I'll miss being able to call you guys on a whim, it seems you were always up for some fun. But I'm excited for you as well. You will be a great mommy! And will have a lot of fun with your little guy, too.
