This past summer was amazing. I had a great time slacking off, traveling, not working or going to school, and basically just enjoying life. Those days are over and I am back to the daily grind of things. The last month has been full of change and getting settled into a new school year, a new house, new roommates, and a new job. I must say that things are going really great and I have almost no complaints(well very few) about anything. So here are a few updates:
1. New house and roommates: I moved into a great house on Nottinghill Rd in Brighton, MA. My roommates are so great (I am so glad Jo made the trek cross country so we could be re-united again) and Katie & Tristan are awesome. I couldnt have hand picked any greater roommates. We are having a lot of fun just hanging out, watching TV, and trying to get our house all furnished and decorated. We are pretty much professional Craigslisters. Our house still needs a little work as far as decorating but it is def coming along. Here are some pics of my new place....
This is our game room.... We have a pool table, dart board, and a bar(of course stocked fully with great non-alcoholic beverages).
Grad School/Work: I had never once, in all my life considered getting my Masters. I figured I had already gone to school for like a thousand years so as soon as I got my bachelors I would be done and could start working and make real money. But things changed when a great opportunity came up that i just couldnt turn down. So here I am at Simmons College getting my Masters of Nutrition and Health Promotion. I am now in week four of it all and I am still surviving. I wouldnt say that I love school but I def love learning. I am taking some great classes. I especially like my 'Nutrition, Fitness, & Wellness' Class and my 'Health Promotion' class. A big part of my classes are conducted online through class discussions. The majority of those in my classes are returning health professionals (either dietitians, physical therapists, or nurses) It has been really interesting to hear from them and to expand my knowledge through their experiences. The classes I dont like are my 'Nutrition Proposal and Research' class and 'Research Methods' class. It just isnt in my cards to be a researcher. I am not smart enough for it. I am excited to continue learning and getting more info on nutrition and exercise!! So along with school I am working part time for one of my professors as a Graduate Assistant. It is only 12 hours a week so it brings in some money, but doesnt kill me off. It isnt the most exciting job; I basically do whatever my professor doesnt want to do, but I cant complain right.... Its a job.
So that's what is keeping me busy. I do still manage to find time to fit in a play, working out, going to red sox games, meet new people, eating, and just relaxing!

How fun, I wish I could be hanging out with you and Jo. It sounds like Boston is the place to be. Good luck with all of your studies... keep Jo in line with her homework too. hehe
