Summer always seems to busy with every weekend something going on.
The first weekend the youth in our Stake were having Youth Conference in Pine Valley. We had all the Miamaids stay at our cabin for a couple of nights. It was the first weekend that our cabin was completed so it was def. broke in having all those girls there. Lincoln loved making indoor smores with all the girls. :)
Norah getting cuter and cuter by the day.
Adam wanted to plant corn this summer--- Lincoln liked to hide in the rows and play in the water when we were watering it. I guess he really is a true Iowan at heart.
We spent another weekend in Pine Valley and ventured out on a hike/stroller walk up by the lake. It was nice and cool and fun to get out and explore a bit.
We made it to the pool a couple of times.... Norah's first real dip in a pool. I think she liked it more than Lincoln like to swim. This summer he has not enjoyed swimming at all in the big pool. He is happy just walking around the pool or playing in his little kiddie pool.
He sure likes his popsicles and everytime he goes to Nana's house he goes for the freezer and asks for a popsicle. Good thing Nana is nice and spoils him!
Lots of kisses to little Norah. I love this girl and the cuddles I get from her.
Lincoln had a great time with packing peanuts and a box that we got!
We attempted finger painting--- but Lincoln HATES getting his hands dirty and sticky... so he was much happier with a brush.
Lincoln would not let us help him put his tie on..... (he is in the stage where he wants to do everything himself.... "Lincoln Do It" it probably his most used phrase right now. It can be quite a challenge because most of the things he wants to do he either can't or it takes him forever. I guess this is all part of the growing up process.
Lincoln is obsessed with the Salad spinner. If he sees it he demands to play with it and try to spin it. I had it out washing lettuce and had forgotten to put it away. Lincoln found it along with a bag of corn chips and decided that they needed to be spun. Let's just say he crunched em up good.
Looks just like his Daddy!
More popsicles... which usually end up all over the place!
The Boulevard had their groundbreaking ceremony up in Cedar for the new store. Because Adam is doing work up there for it we decided to head up and enjoy the free lunch. Lincoln LOVED digging in he dirt with the gold shovels and he especially loved watching the big Trucks and tractors move the dirt around.
Lincoln and Channing--- little partners in crime.
We have def. had our share of these this month... They weren't kidding about the terrible twos. :) He can throw quite the tantrum but we love him regardless!
Norah thinking she is a big girl sitting in Lincoln's carseat!

Brianhead and Cedar Breaks
We wanted a little break from the heat so we headed up to the Condo in Brianhead. It was a perfect little weekend getaway and we always love the beauty that Cedar Breaks has to offer.
We then ventured off or our first official hike as a family of 4. I def. got the easier end of the deal carrying Norah. I am glad I wasn't Adam having to carry the pack-- snacks-- and 30 lb. Lincoln. Let's just say that I don't think Lincoln will have too many more opportunities to ride!

Grandma Betsy's Funeral
The beginning of June we headed to California for the funeral of Adam's Grandma- Betsy. It was great to see and meet family that we hadn't seen in awhile and also great to celebrate and remember the person that Grandma Betsy was!

Family Pictures---
Whitney wanted pictures of our entire family before she left on her mission.... so because Heidi and Tim and their family were in town and the rest of us were around we made it happen 2 days before she left on May 13th, 2013. Even though Norah pretty much just lied there (she was only 1 1/2 months old) and Lincoln was as busy as can be and wanted nothing to do with doing his usual cheesier smile I think that they turned out pretty good.
It was fun to have them taken over at the Family Orchard. I have so many memories over there hauling hay, thinning, pruning, and picking peaches and pears! I love the beauty of Southern Utah.
Pops and Nana and the Grandkids! Lots of blondies in this group. Notice Lincoln and his sticking out his tongue.
Whit with the kids!
